>be me >making good progress and looking jacked>completely rupture my bicep tendon I went to see ortho today and he said its looking like a full rupture. I probably won't workout my upper body for at least 9 months from now. Helpo
natty? age? how'd you rupture it?
damn how much you curling dog
>>76603538>be meThere‘s your problem
>>7660354726 year old nattyRuptured it doing this stupid exercise. Not really applicable to most people on this forum since majority of people don't do this. I thought I'm safe because I've done this shit since I was 17 but the grim reaper came for my oldcel 26 year old joints after all. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Z1-c-eV3-aA/maxresdefault.jpg>>76603548Not even curling. Doing stupid calisthenics exercise.
>>76603538I couldn't lift due to breaking my humerus for 7 months. If it makes you feel any better, it comes back pretty fast. I'd just train legs in the meantime. Mostly machines.
>>76603558That's probably what im going to do. Train legs and abs. Without a doubt my upper body will atrophy but what else can I do? If I don't get surgery I'll basically be functioning with 70% on one arm.
>>76603556Damn im the same age as you anon, been lifting the same amount of time as well. Gotta remind myself never to do that one. Im terribly sorry, youre just gonna have to take it at your own pace. the recovery wont be linear but at least this didnt happen to you at 40
>>76603564Good luck anon, legs gives you the most of a test boost from training fortunately too. Remember to keep your protein high also. Would not recommend cutting. Here's a pic of the cool scar I got from my humerus, hope you get a cool bicep scar
>>76603571>>76603583Thanks a lot guys. Definitely gonna be hitting legs as much as I can while hitting abs too. Obviously can't do squats because I can't use my left arm but machines should do the job.
>>76603556Appreciate the response, hope you get better asap. I was expecting the good ol preacher curl bicep breaker but will note that cali exercise down. >>76603583fumo spotted!
>>76603556>https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Z1-c-eV3-aA/maxresdefault.jpgwhat the fuck lmao
>>76603556Just do calisthenics they said. Deadlift will snap your shit up they said
>>76603556Kek that excersice. Deserved for retarded
>>76604037ill never kek at someone getting injured while just trying to be more /fit/ than yesterday
>>76603556Lmao retard
>>76603556How did it feel just before your ruptured it? Any pain or discomfort or it just suddenly happens with no signs?I do very heavy weighted neutral grip pullups and kinda afraid of it, but i never feel anything strange or uncomfortable
Tore my pec and never got back to 100% decided I’d rather bench 1.5 plate for reps and be safe.Learn to roon faggot
>>76603538That really sucks... torn biceps tendon is an emergenslcy surgery. You have 1 day, 2 days max to fix it, otherwise it will never properly heal.Dow the fuck obe can not notice that he has his biceps torn? Like what?
>>76603556Ahahhahahhahaha u funny as fuck
>>76604150No signs or anything. It just happened in an instant. I know you are probably afraid but if you are just doing weighted pull ups with good form and not ego lifting I think you should be perfectly fine.
>>76603556LMAO
>>76603591wagmi
>>76604200it's more like a week but yeah earlier is better. If OP is young the doc could tell him to fuck off for another two. >>76603564if you're under 35 and like to lift then get surgery. 70% is way too high of an estimate, you're basically limited to 30lb in that arm for the rest of your life (esp for a complete rupture). Nonsurgical options are for white collar wagie boomers who barely walk half a mile every day.
>>76604150He had his bicep in the most stretched position possible while under load. Way different than doing pullups
This makes me nervous. Annon did you train your tendons and work up to doing a backwards lever on the rings? I also do a lot of ring workouts but it took me months to condition my biceps to do bulgarian split dips (weighted) and pelican pushups.
