>>76608806I've experimented with this, it's totally correct. Bulking and cutting is absolutely the way to go. The only way you can really get big muscles is to bulk for a while. It's easier to keep the muscles after the cut, but it's really hard to get big muscles whilst keeping lean. I bulked last year and didn't this year. I went up to about 87kg last year and although I look more aesthetic this year at 80kg I lost a decent amount of strength. I was incline DB pressing 40kg last year for 6-8 reps, now I'm at 30kg. Chronometer is very useful for keeping track of it all.

>>76611000Its kind of a nice doing more bulks in a week than cuts as it can be good for being leaner and gaining weight, but you probably lose yearly progress not trying to get bmr higher and just frying upper body then continue bulking while doing core/legs/arms, i also find lighter delts are nice to actually build muscle and doesnt put much wear on tendons with fast strict reps so youre still bulking during chest/delts recovery. Usually working strict front delts(smallest upper body muscle) often actually puts more blood in the muscle and can be worked even if chest tendons need recovery and i usually like to always be working core via presses since it helps keep your brace strong.
