Lmao I work from home and don't go anywhere, I only have a car because I think they're neat, she sits in my driveway 99.9% of the time depreciating but when work or women piss me off I have this turn i keep trying to take at higher speeds without flipping, it's not super sharp but I'm real close to taking the bitch at 80mph, (white people) music blasting, worth the cost imoAnd yeah it's a fucking Mazda3, I've had Audis, Mercedes, Acuras, had a six cylinder accord which was ace (rip), multiple RSXs, but I wanted something reliable and nice and I'm really happy with her, can't justify prices on used Hondas anymore and euro cars can suck a fat dick. My little girl is fully loaded, fighter jet style motorized HUD screen that flips up from the dash, adaptive headlights, premium audio, genuine leather on the wheel and seats, paddle shifters, the 2.5l is pretty impressive, 7 seconds flat for an NA 4 cylinder, not arguing she's fast but for Mazda are wizards for getting that out of an engine like that, you can see Nissan do the same displacement engine losing a whole second on theirs

>>76614832There's barely any space by the fourth car, and you aren't riding the shoulder along that bus further away
>>76614809Doing groceries on a bike is a bit shit though, it takes too long (40 min roundtrip for me) and unless you want to go more multiple times per week it's annoying to cycle with 20 kg of extra weight. You have to balance the front and back, left and right, and even then the bike tries to tip over when you turn.Other than that you either have to cycle on the road (the quality of road surface is horrible here and cars do stupid things) or the footpath (not much better surface and pedestrians are in the way) as there are virtually no segregated cycle lanes. In many places there's not even a line on the road. I've lost a tire to broken glass before and narrowly avoided it multiple other times. And then there's always the chance you park your bike for 20 mins and come back to find it's been stolen. If governments want people to cycle they need to get serious about building the infrastructure. I more or less gave up on cycling because of these issues.
>>76614838i meant 10 minutes away by walking* apologies. so, i stayed in one of those planned communities when i was in florida and i was told it was completely normal to drive to the nearby stores and restaurants that were only a 10-15 minute walk away which is unfathomable to me as a scandi.

>>766148401)stop being fat2)weave onto the sidewalk if you really do get blocked by some retardezpzAnd yeah I really don't think I've ever seen a cyclist riding in between cars rather than on the side.
>>76614838that's why you take the bicycletypical speeds in cities are around ~20kmhin rush hour, that can go even loweralso you got to include the time it takes to find a parking spotin most well build / designed cities in central / western Europedistances for bikes / by foot are typical more direct and shortera 10min car ride from door to door shouldn't take longer than 15min by bikenot only the difference negligible but you also get a free workout / warmupcars are the least /fit/ mode of transport

>>76614579bike trips are unironically based yeah but sometimes you just want to go to the airport or spend a day on the beach (closest to me is 160km). Also the viability of a bike trip with kids depends a lot on the quality of the infrastructures available
>>76614785>ligther motorcycles are specifically, etcWas thinking more of in pedestrian areas like the market in your pic.
I drive a bicycle in a city because it's simply faster. My daily commute is about 15-20 minutes total both ways. I don't have to waste time looking for parking space, can skip traffic entirely and even some red lights by weaving onto the sidewalk.
>>76614846>it's annoying to cycle with 20 kg of extra weightEver seen a fatass cycle? They're probably carrying even more extra weight than that.I agree it does make the bike much less responsive but you get used to it quick in my experience. I wouldn't want to drive a loaded bike hands off but other than that it's fine.
>>76614833I don't get it, they want the cities to be walkable but they also want them full of these 40IQ violent turdies which means they just end up staying inside and ordering everything through amazon (they hate capitalism btw) make it make sense

>>76614865>typical speeds in cities are around ~20kmh >in rush hour, that can go even lower >also you got to include the time it takes to find a parking spot Yeah but I'm not in a city, so typical speed is like 30mph in the suburb, 40-50 on state roads, 60-80 highway.Endless parking lots.
>>76614893>Ever seen a fatass cycle? They're probably carrying even more extra weight than that. It's not the weight itself but the distribution. If you load the front it makes steering harder, if you load the back it makes accelerating harder, and if you load off-centre (side bags) it makes the bike tippy. Even if you get it all even it still does because you have to tilt the bike to turn so you have all the weight pulling/pushing the bike further to the side you're turning.>I agree it does make the bike much less responsive but you get used to it quick in my experienceIt was just frustrating to me. I had the opportunity to test drive a newer one that was a lower trim so I won't get into direct comparisons anywhere but the engine and space. The interior is cramped as fuck comparatively in the newer ones. The hatchback is uglier. The sedan is a bit uglier too imo. Exterior we're talking. The 2.5 in the new models felt more sluggish. Now, the new models you can get the 2.5 with a turbo and that's likely nice, I haven't driven one, can't do that on my gen unless you go aftermarket. I had the chance to buy either my 2018 or a 2023 both with about the same mileage and the price would have been maybe $500 more for the newer one, and I made my pick in full confidence. Pretty girl only had 30k miles when I nabbed her, one owner, garage kept, fully loaded, and I work from home so she's not far beyond that mileage now six months later.

If there’s anything else to look at as to how big of a loser I am, it’s being an American in his 30s who’s never owned a car, and has only driven one a few times (and never alone, only with a driving instructor). I mean of course I’m a loser in every other part of my life as well, but if there’s really one thing to look at, it has to be that. I do have a road bike and for a number of years now I average around 3,000 miles a year on it. But yeah, being in a country where driving a car is pretty much required to have any sort of independent life and you’ve gone over 30 years without having one is an exclamation point on how much of a loser you are.I don’t even know why I’m like this. I do have a few outdoor social hobbies I do, and for the most part I’m able to successfully do them because I can use my bike and the subway system (I’m in one of the few areas of the US with a decent one) to get to them, or the occasional carpool with other participants, but not having a car limits my opportunities with this hobby as well. I know how pathetic it is to not own a car or even be able to drive (I got my license 7 years ago but even if it was an emergency right now I wouldn’t know what to do behind the wheel) but I don’t know, it just seems so pointless. It isn’t like if I got a car suddenly I would become some happy normal person, getting my own place, meeting women, making friends, getting some big bustling career, etc. I would still be the same ultra loser, except I would now just have a vehicle that I take out a few times a week but have the added burden and expense of everything that comes with car ownership.

>>76616207>if we lived in a world that was built around bikes and people biking life would be kinoWhat if the government through Obama's weaponized HUD dept moved a bunch of niggers really close to your house? Like surrounded you by section ape? They can bike, you can bike, you're at parity with the beasts. How do you escape? How do you pack your shit up and move? Do you bike two blocks over and make a hundred trips? They'll still break in and rob you and rape your wife at night, it's what they're designed to do by satan. Until you answer this I cannot accept your vision
>>76615535Weird saddle angle. Cool bike and cool pic still.
>>76611503This is the problem, they noticed biking was becoming popular so they skyrocketed the prices in their circle.Every single one does it so you can't find a cheap one anymore.
>>76614838Do you speed walk or run? 10 min on a car will take hours to catch up to at a normal walk pace.
>>76616649>americansI bike in Slavic europe and I never saw a nigger while biking.
>>76617903However, Slavs leave their aggressive dogs unsecured and I have to kill them occasionally.
>>76614699>MY CAR IS MY SAFE SPACECool I hope a tranny nigger smashes their car into yours and you all die
I have a 200$ piece of shit that I ride to work every day. For a long time I thought these lycra fags were the real deal because they're always passing me. Then I tried a proper road bike and nope they're actually pussies and just pay for their speed. An easier sport does not exist.
>>76612579Because of slippery slope.
>>76614846>Doing groceries on a bike is a bit shit though, it takes too long (40 min roundtrip for me) and unless you want to go more multiple times per week it's annoying to cycle with 20 kg of extra weight. You have to balance the front and back, left and right, and even then the bike tries to tip over when you turn.If you get panniers then they are built to distribute the weight lower, which actually improves the balance.
>>76618042>slippery slopewhich is a fallacy
>>76614918Either unironic Jews or idiots from gated communities who haven't seen average brown people.
>>76618048So we're going to ignore how literally everything goes to shit now?New cars are getting subscriptions for fucking heated seats. Electric cars will make you more dependent on infrastructure because all these electronics are guaranteed to break all the time.
>>76618019Road bike is mostly faster because of smaller air drag.>>76618057I live in Slavic village and there are no browns here, can use bicycle. But rarely, there are dogs (the niggers of the animal kingdom).
>>76618086>I live in Slavic village and there are no browns hereBut how many Bosnians or gypsies
>>76616712saddle angle is basically flat. the top tube is sloped down
>>76609608Fuck that, I’ll keep my truck for pulling my livestock trailer. Road biking is fucking gay too. I’ll stick with my mountain bike which won’t fold in half if I go over a pebble.
>An easier sport does not exist.Road cycling is an endurance sport. The difficulty isn't in just riding around for a little bit, it's maintaining a fast pace over longer distances.
>>76618173was for (you) >>76618019
>>76613847>>76612280Can y'all just kiss already Jesus Christ
>>76618086>no browns hereYet. Apparently they're starting to show up in my region.
>>76618048slippery slope being a fallacy is one of the biggest bullshits of the century
>>76618204>Yet.>Apparently they're starting to show up in my region.Just Indians are almost 1/5 of the world population, and they're doing their best to spread out evenly. Think about it, a world where every fifth person you see is Indian. Grim.
>>76618048Study fag marriage anon. It'll help you understand why 18% of the current under 18 crowd are explicitly not straight. It'll show you overwhelming support for child castration, puberty blocking, calling men women and women men. But they just wanted to get married because love right?
>>76618315personally I think we should get rid of marriage altogether.
>>76618325This, but instead of marriage fags and niggers and instead of altogether fucking immediately
>SELL YOUR CAR
>>76611351Stay a single virgin like you belong
>>76612222>fat
A bike is ok if you put a 50cc 2 stroke kit on it. Also crazy that people think it's safe to go 50km/h on the road without a full face helmet and motorbike gear
>>76618113zeroGypsies are in the city, but they stay in their separated area and fuck their kids and sisters there.>>76618518Even with helmet it's not safe.
>>76618086>dogs (the niggers of the animal kingdom)That would actually be cats>lazy as fuck>sleep all day>lash out and attack for no reason>the useful ones (pest control) still act that way sometimes>disease that tricks people into liking them (toxoplasmosis) the same way jews trick bleeding heart whites into liking niggers>non native>destructive to the environment no matter where they are
>>76618086>>76618818Fascinating discussion but niggers are clearly the niggers of the animal kingdom
>>76614809>>76611314>>76616207>Bicycles have enough cargo for groceriesthey do notcorrect on everything elsebut groceries, all 3 of you bikers utterly lost the argument it's ok,you got everything else right
>>76618932I can transport 30kg / 66lb of cargo or food with almost standard bicycle.
c*clists are the single dumbest road using demographic out there
>>76609608I own a bike for transportation everywhere in the summer and a "civilian" version of a old rally car for pleasure and moving around during winterI really wish i could use the bike all year but the winters are pretty harsh here and the city services suck ass at cleaning them.
>>76619294>Please everyone, PLEASE LISTEN>I WANT to bike all year for your APPROVAL my fellow leftists, but my BODY is too weak to handle the COLD WEATHER>IF ONLY I were Stronger! I've failed you Xisters... Go on without xe
>>76616207your opinion reflects that of someone with minimal to no responsibility. bicycling as the only means of transportation is unrealistic in the overwhelming vast majority of situations. this is a fact not an argument.
>>76610902i do both and id say most mountain bikers are good sprinters and can out climb casual road bikers on any climb under a mile. but not a single one can maintain a cadence for even a short amount of time. and to my surprise, mountain bike riders have bigger egos and will hate on gravel, ebikes, roadbikes etc.
