It doesn't. The white of the egg cooks at 145F, e.g. the upper end of a medium steak. Rice on the keep warm setting of rice cookers is at 135F. Unless you put the egg IN the rice cooker immediately after it's done (160F), it's not going to cook. You're just mixing the egg until the moisture is absorbed by the rice or evaporated. I have no issue eating raw eggs though as it's part of stuff I do enjoy, like cesar salad and steak tartare, but the whole raw egg on rice thing is pretty shit.

The easiest way to make it tasty?

Toast the rice for a few minutes with some chopped square carrots and some olive oil while you boil water (half a carrot and two cups of water for a cup of rice).

Don't forget to salt. Less than Half a spoon for cup of rice seems fine.

Then pour the boiling water on the rice and let it cook until the water evaporates.

Lower the heat to the minimun when there isn't much water left. Pour a little more of olive oil on top of the rice to prevent the rice to stick.

When the water is completely gone turn the heat off and let it rest for a few minutes. Always cover the casserole.

There. Better rice than you get from 90% of restaurants.

Food didn't become edible until male chefs came around. You used to have to go to a restaurant for something as simple as a pork chop or a sloppy joe because women are incapable of not serving you raw pork.
Sometimes I'll go get a sub and invariably the male "sandwich artists" will give me lots of vegetables and the female ones will barely put any on there because they're too lazy to even chop up lettuce or tomatoes and if they give you more then a token amount it creates work for them which women are antithetical to.
But it makes you feel like a big boy to have slop instead of making it proper I can only assume.
