What's so bad about PPL for say someone who's at 1/2/4/4.5 ? Why is everyone shitting on it all of a sudden ?
Doesn't help that literally every program is just slightly skewed PPL
>>
>>76626938
>someone who's at 1/2/4/4.

That someone isn't you.
Those are powerlifting lifts/standards so...

Basically you have no clue what you are doing if you have to ask this question and I don't feel like explaining shit in detail for every tourist every day or so.
Just Google "Arms lagging ppl" and you will see one of many problems, throwing Tris after chest+Delts will result in shit triceps and throwing biceps/forearms after tons of horizontal and vertical pulls will result in shit biceps/forearms. If you are dead set on ppl for whatever reason just swap bis to push and Tris to pull so you can hit them fresh and they will actually grow.

>T. Big tricep haver
>>
>>76626956
That's why push legs pull arms is goated
>>
Extra effort for no extra gains
>>
>>76626960
This. 6 days a week for just 2 times frequency when you could accomplish that with UL or torso limbs push pull with quads on push and hamstrings on pull or even 3 times frequency with a 3 day full body. It's reddit personified in a split.
>>
>>76626960
>>76626971
>he doesn't enjoy working out
Ganna continue to enjoy lifting as much as possible while you try to avoid it and cry post about not seeing gainz cuz of the jews.
>>
>>76626956
That's literally me
>>76626971
You can literally just do ppl day in day out and you'd be barely training 4 days a week
>>
>>76626956
>>T. Big tricep haver
Post physique you wont
>>
>>76626938
It's fine, literally most programs will work as long as you're training with intensity and eating and sleeping properly.
>>
>>76626988
I always had long skinny arms, it's the whole reason I got into the gym 18 months ago. I just want big arms, big forearms and a six pack.
157lbs to 188lbs
>>
>>76627005
Your arms are lagging tho. And it's not because of PPL.

That's not a measure of PPL tho. Why are you mixing the main four with a volume-based routine?
Don't take me wrong, I love PPL and is the routine that mostly work for my goals. Only during winter time (because of more food ingestion) I dedicate two months to strength exercises.
>>
>>76628150
>>76626956
Why are you all retarded. OP is clearly talking about PPL as a powersharting routine.
It does make sense because who in their right mind would squat and deadlift on the same day if they're chasing PRs unless you're on PEDs
>>
>>76626938
U/L is a powerlifting split, unless you are focusing on the big three its not really for you.
Brosplit is useless for natties and its 5 days a week.
Full body 3-5 times week is good, you'll just need to manage fatigue and lower the intensity.
PPL is also good, no need to do it 6 days a week, it can be or PPLxPPLx or PPLxxPPLxx
You will still be hitting each muscle group, at least twice in 7 days.
Consistensy matters much more than training split and you can modify your based on your preferences.
>>
>>76629147
Bro split gave me and everyone gainz for football doing 3x20
>>
>>76626938
1/2/3/4 is an ancient meme

If you care about ACTUAL fitness and meaningful strength, it's
0/0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5/4/4.5/5

> 0pl8 LEG RAISE with your feet touching the bar with 45 lbs in between them (spinal flexion)
> 0.5pl8 BARBELL UPRIGHT ROW OVER HEAD till lockout (upward pull)
> 1pl8 OHP (upward push)
> 1.5pl8 ZERCHER JEFFERSON DEADLIFT (spinal extension)
> 2pl8 BENT OVER BARBELL ROW (horizontal pull)
> 2.5pl8 WEIGHTED UNDERHAND PULL UP until the chin rests on the bar (downward pull)
> 3pl8 CLOSE GRIP BENCH PRESS with a small arch (horizontal push)
> 3.5pl8 WEIGHTED DIP (downward push)
> 4pl8 Barbell Lunge (Lunge)
> 4.5pl8 ATG HIGH BAR SQUAT (squat)
> 5pl8 DEFICIT DEADLIFT (hinge)
0/0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5/4/4.5/5 is:
> beautiful
> simple
> succinct
> actually a good measurement of general fitness

So next time you hear someone mention 1/2/3/4 - just say "try 0/0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5/4/4.5/5 pussy"

What a shit cringe picture. Why is he punching down to the chest area? Shithead never took a boxing class once in his life.

I do PPL 3x a week and its been fine so far. I specifically avoid the 6x a week version because my shoulders started to feel too tired

>all of a sudden
It was always considered inferior.
You end up going to the gym every day, and not doing much. So you waste a lot of time getting there and warming up, but not too much sweating.
Good for normies that have a social life at the gym, bad if you care about your time.

Demoralizers and wage copers. You can make any routine that's 2+ days a week work, and PPL (6 days) is easiest if you don't mind gym trips. Half hour a day, stay fresh, adjust volume for recovery.

That's the same thing as saying you do "full body" and only once a week. Minimizes gains. Take supplements and stretch and choose the right exercises to save your shoulders.

Can you do 55lb single arm ohp for 10 reps?

Stop defending your bullshit routine then.

Barely enough for a single serious lift including warm-ups.
I understand not everyone trains that way or wants to. My current routine is as minimalist as possible to align with my goals; I do 6 lifts in total split over two A and B days. I did this to reduce my gym time down to about an hour.
>Can you do 55lb single arm ohp for 10 reps?
No idea, why would you do meme lifts over the real ones? I shoulder pressed the 80's for sets of 10 today tho
>>
>>76630037
>You end up going to the gym every day, and not doing much
You're an extremely low iq individual
>>
>>76630293

6-7 depending if you need a day off for rest or to do something else. After a while you get a feel for how much volume you can recover from, could be one hard set.
>>76630294
>single arm ohp
It's better at building strength than barbell. Know how everyone complains that they can't increase ohp? There you go, idiot.
>>
>>76626938
There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. /fit/ has just become a bunch of whiny fucking babies who think you cant recover with one day of rest.

Single arm ohp, 10 reps, almost no one on the planet can do it.

That's not pressing.

>>76630328
I was waiting for you to post some shit like that just so I could mentally mog you too
>>

the fact that you believe a lift like that is unrealistic at all for people who lift seriously tells everyone all they need to know about your legitimacy to form strong opinions on lifting

Post a video of your 80lb dumbbell ohp. I'll wait.

You need to find a rope, now. The world record is over 300 pounds nigger. 55lbs is nothing

You must be thinking of jerk, not press. Like circus dumbbell. Shows how much you know.
