What kind of shit do you guys have? I want to get into this but I'm broke so I can't spend too much $$Is it a bad idea to get pic rel to work on my pull up and dips progression when I can only do 1-2 pullups and 0 dips right now
>>76627163Non-broke fag here. Do you think this is high enough quality to support a 240 lb person? If not link some good recs. Need something for my apartment.
>>76627163>>76627166The door frame pullup bars are cheap as hell and can support 250b. Don't get the absolute cheapest one, and you should be fine.I have:>Adjustable dumbbellsmost expensive, but worth it. You can find deals for like 200-300; keep an eye on facebook marketplace and such and you might score some good deals>pull up barAs described above>adjustable benchI think mine was a little over $100, but there are cheap-ass benches out there. Splurge for adjustable if possible, a lot more exercise variations.>ab rollerDon't even remember buying this I just have and use it>stationary bikeRandom amazon one for about $200, magnetic wheel for adjustable resistance, use it for all my cardio>jump ropeI don't use it as much anymore but it was good cheap cardio for a while.
>>76627174>door frame pull upsI'm extremely paranoid about it fucking up my frame, I'm only 74 kg but shit I really don't want to risk it, I live in a shithole and can hear my frames creak when I even pretend to deadhang from themI'm just hoping that op pic isn't wobbly and is good for pull ups even though it's short
>>76627163This is a turd. You'd be better of getting a cheap power rack with an overhead head pull up bar. You can attach an infinite number of attachments to the rack and do every exercise at home without risking death by crushing. And it takes up just as much space as this fucking thing.
>>76627166Kek you must be less than this obese to ride the dyel playground equipment
>>76627166i'm 230, i have the exact one. It supports me good enough, for the price. It's not perfect, but I note that if I put 20 pound weights down on the parts of it that weould come up while doing pull ups it becomes much more stable. It's worth the price in my opinion.
>>76627235Appreciate it, guess i shouldn't cheap out on an at least 5 year purchase
>>76627180Don't bother with the door frame pull ups, the ones I had fucked up the paint and I had a whole debacle with the faggot landlord over it
>>76627180you are right to be paranoid. it will ruin your door frame. they built that door frame to be a frame. not hold your weight
>>76627163Bench, Dumbbells, Back extension machine with dip handles The back extension one was shilled all over the internet that's why I did it, haven't used it yet
>>76627166Definitely not and definintely not if you'll have it in an appartment. Just join a planet fitness you lazy piece of shit.
>>76627163How broke are you? The absolute bare minimum should be gymnastics rings, adjustable dumbbells, adjustable bench, jump rope and running shoes. Should be under 500 for all of that. But if you are truly broke, a gym membership might be better, you'll pay more in the long run but month to month your payment will be lower.
>>76627163I have been using this for 2 years and i think it's worth, you can do pull ups dips leg raises, i also attached rings to the bar to do neutral grip pull ups when i had tendinitis. If you can, buy a bench and dumbells too. A rack it's better but it's a totally different range of price space and weight.
>>76627163That costs like $100. If a gym membership is $20/month you should just do that and save some money and get more equipment. Start doing lat pull downs with higher reps and slowly up the weight, you'll have 20 pull ups in like 2-3 months.
jesus, it's just a couple of bars.where do you antisocial mongs live that you can't go to a park with bars nearby?I couldn't possibly fathom spending money on something I have for free 150m away from home.
>>76631580Agreed. I don't know why guys refuse to use the pullup bar that comes with their power rack.
>>76627163I have an hook used to season hams on the ceiling, threw some handles on that. Loadable barbell and dumbbells, they take the same platesHalf rack, the most expensive piece of it allAnd a bench. That's it, I'm keeping it minimal
>>76627180You must be american. In my country my door frames are made of steel alloy and are very sturdy
>>76627163Don't get power towers - the dip bars are absolutely terrible since they're parallel and far apart, and they take up a ton of space. Ideally, get rings but you might be too weak. Get a doorway pullup bar, and some freestanding dip stands. Do inverted rows on the dip stands, and crank out pushups until you can do pullups and dips properly. An alternative is a squat rack with a pullup bar and a dip attachment, but those will be slightly more than $100.
>>76631827This retard is bragging about living in a soviet bunker.
>>76627163Personally I would wait until a power cage with dip attachments pops up on FB marketplace. A cheap one will do everything that power tower will for a couple dollars more and it is stupid easy to upgrade if you want to start lifting weights as well.Sniping FB marketplace and getting fat people's used stuff at a steep discount is the o ly way to go
>>76627163there's literally MET general thread specifically for this
>>76627163that thing is bad space/money and bad versatility
