Why is this lift so controversial?
>>76634434It makes you look like a horsecock gigantic balls goliath adonis ubermensch stud which makes most people feel insecure and disgusted with themselves
>>76634434Probably because every science fag says OHP and Bench Press hit the anterior delt hard so you don't need to isolate it. All I know is every old school bodybuilder did front raises so I'm going to keep doing front raises.
>>76634443>every old school bodybuilder did front raises so I'm going to keep doing front raises.Pretty good advice
>>76634434Soon. \o
>>76634443You nailed it. OHP does make front raises obsolete, but bench press does not unless you're on steroids.
>>76634434No one has an under developed front delt. The only people would might even consider it are career bodybuilders who avoid compounds.
I just found it added nothing to my development and I didnt like doing them so I dropped em.Simple as.
>>76634490You have an undeveloped front delt
>>76634434Looks like he's imagining himself riding a horse
I JUST found out I have scapular winging and have had it for most of my life. Will this exercise help?
All the smelly brown skeletons in my gym love to do this. They all whip it up then let it fall to be sure to get the least possible muscular engagement. Because I have to watch them do that I don't like it. That is the honest reason that I do not do them.
I find the lift where you start with the dumbbell (or a plate with two hands) already horizontal and then extend it to overhead to develop some upper back.
>>76634434Front raises are sick, i have an upper back weakness. But still front delts is narrow bench for me.
>>76634490Front delt is the smallest muscle in upper body, nobody has bigger pec insertions than lats.
>>76634443Im doing stuff arm curls/up high pec flies if you actually wanna build front delts besides presses.
>>76634434I heard these are better with thumbs up like a hammer curl instead of palm down. Is this right or just another meme?
>>76634490This is my stance on this. If you're doing enough of the normie press movements your front delts are already going to be beat up and used enough.
>>76634434not enough ROM
can someone tell me the right form for lat raises? ive been avoiding them because my shoulder was fucked before and i felt it twinging, probably due to bad formbut there seems to be a ton of conflicting info about form e.g. horizontal hand with palm down, or vertical hand with thumb up, or elbows bent or some shitor is there some better alternative less likely to fuck my shoulder?
>>76634434It’s only controversial to germans
>>76634443Old school bodybuilders also did gay 4 pay, are you going to do that too?
>>76635821Will it make me fucking ripped?
>>76635821Yes>>76634443>All I know is every old school bodybuilder did front raises so I'm going to keep doing front raises.I agree with your whole post, but this logic isn't sound
This movement is unnatural. Also OHP has bigger range of motion.
>>76635455cable and/or machine lateral raises are more tiring with less ROM and weight so I just use thoseFor dbs it's supposed to be horizontal with palms down, leaning forward slightly and raising like 15-30 degrees forward from a T-pose. But if that twings I'd just drop it outright, not worth perma-fucking your shoulders
>>76635821nta but is it bad if I want to? no bigger compliment than dudes wanting to pay to do unnatural things to you
it's just redundant>your program needs more front delts but you can't do any variant of overhead pressing for ??? reasonsyou'd rather slot in something that hits medial or rear delts because those are typically engaged less unless you're an upright row + BTN chadthere are plenty of lifts that aren't "good" or "bad", they are just tools for specific scenarios and if you do them or not depends entirely on the rest of your program
