watch a large concrete pour. I used to work for a company without machines to float and pull back the mud. Mud past my mucking boots so they had to be taped shut. And i had to carry around and stack steel forms when i wasn't mucking. When i wasnt doing that i was using the 12 lp sledge on my belt to hammer in the form stakes into the hard earth which is the easy part.
On a truly big pour a 8-12 hour shift of laborer will work from midnight till noon and then the finishers will come in.
