Damn I'm 73 and can only do 3, good shit man
How did you progress to 10? Deadhangs or did you just force pull ups and half pull ups
>>
>>76637806
I've been at it 2-3 years though. I started out doing negatives, then just figured out how many reps I could do for 5 sets (for example starting at 5x2 and working my way up to 5x3). A week ago I did 5 5 5 5 3.
I try to only take the last set to exhaustion.

But that's just me.

Hectic I've just started doing the reps thing, wasn't really sure I could progress with just 3 pull ups but reading you started from 2 is hopefuel
>>

>you started from 2
I started from zero. I couldn't do a single pull-up about 3 years ago. I started out with I think 3 x 5 negatives or something. So there's a bit more hopefuel.

We're all gonna make it bro. Also check this website out.

Might help you. There's also an app in the play store for this program, that might be more convenient if you take your phone to the gym (or wherever you do pull-ups).

Congrats man! I remember how excited I was when I was able to pull off eight chin-ups for the first time in my life. I announced it to the guy next to me in the gym, and then apologized to him and told him that I was so happy I had to share it with someone nearby, and from there he seemed to understand that I was a special kind of retarded. But, a special kind of retarded that did eight chinups in a single set.

Keep up that progress OP! I'd say, "Chin-up" but I think "Pull-up" would be better for you!

I warm up with chin ups every time I workout. Only way to improve. Can do 17 no problem before I start to slow.

Inshallah you will finish nearly every rep with full rom before perfectly slowly forcing and grinding the last pull up to stimulate the muscles perfectly
>>
I just did weighted pull-ups; +35lb at 170lb bodyweight for 9, 6, 5, 5 reps
>>
>>76637605
Nice!

>>76637605
Nice
I like doing 8, break, 7, break, and so on to 1.

Congrats bro, that's huge. My goal is to do 10 pull ups as well. I am progressing slowly, because I don't really want to lose weight and I am on the heavier side, but I am up to 6 strict pull ups now.
