How do we feel about flaxseed
>>
>>76646948
Unironically worse than soi.
Soi is fairly benign when semi-processed flax not so much.
>>
flax is for bowstrings
>>
>>76646952
>soi isn't so bad
>gives you gyno and suicidal thoughts
yea man all that estrogen is great for humans.
>>
>>76647125
Yeah it functions as almost an estrogen blocker or reducer since it binds to the same receptor sites but it illicits a weaker reaction than had the real estrogen made in your own body had it bound to that receptor site. It's only an issue if you're eating so much of it that's occuring around the clock to the point it has outpaced your natural estrogen production and the rate at enzymes clear those receptor sites. The paranoia about estrogens should first and foremost be placed on durable xenoestogens. Because they don't dissolve from those receptor sites. Flax is has way more xenoestogens than onions and they're much more chemically durable.

I love flaxseed meal. I put a decent bit in my daily protein smoothie. Way cheaper than chia.
>>
>>76647164
>guys if you just eat a little soi it'll only fuck you up a little bit
it's in almost everything besides fresh produce and fresh meat. it's on purpose. fuck you for apologizing for the insanity of women and the trooning of young men
>>
>>76646948
How to put flaxseed into foods? What foods?
>>
cute doggies :3
>>
>>76647414
>it's in almost everything besides fresh produce and fresh meat.
What the fuck else should you be eating? You think your life would be any better gorging your stupid ass on tv dinners and processed foods? I can't tell you it wouldn't and soi isn't the staw that broke the camels back here.
>>
flaxseed has omega3. Vegan source of Omega 3.
But how to it flaxseed? It tastes bad.
>>
>>76647330
>Way cheaper than chia.
But chia tastes good while flax tastes bad.
>>
>>76647698
It's ALA omega 3s they're basically worthless because we're shit at turning them into DHA (long chain omega 3s) which are the ones that are essential and do all the good stuff.

But if you're still after that garbage you have to blend them you can't absorb shit through their shell.
>>
>>76647724
There are no vegan DHA and EPA, so you have to eat flax or algae.
>But if you're still after that garbage you have to blend them you can't absorb shit through their shell.
I already do this but they taste bad, where to put flax to be able to eat it without vomiting?
>>
>>76647831
Then cheat on your diet. It's like a 5% conversion rate. Ethics be damned it's your health.
>>
>>76647709
Neither tastes like much anyway.
>>
>>76647444
grind some to throw into yogurt, oatmeal, or a salad, it's pretty good
>>
>>76647694
It would be incredibly nice to grab a tv dinner some nights and know it's not full of fake meat and seed oils. Are you kidding?
>>
>>76647846
>vegan
>ethics
Whatm?
>>
>>76647846
>Ethics be damned it's your health.
Health be damned, ethics are more important.

>>76648158
>grind some to throw into yogurt, oatmeal, or a salad, it's pretty good
Into oatmeal? Oats also have bad taste, like flaxseed. Bad + bad = good? I don't believe.
>>
>>76646952
>he doesn't know about s o y Monsanto patents
Lmao enjoy your cancer causing fertiliser
>>
>>76651072
>Oats also have bad taste, like flaxseed
Sounds like a (You) problem. Anyway this is /fit/ and not /ck/, and these are very practical foods.
>>
I mix some flaxseed into my chickens' feed, presumably I'm getting eggs with a more bioavailable Omega-3 profile.
>>
>>76651451
Yeah, but how much can they bench?

Good for fiber if you don't want to ingest too many calories.
If you can afford the calories, ground chia seed is much better nutritionally.
>>
>>76646948
It's in Huel black and the excuse why ketoschizos think it's bad.
idgaf what they think and I'm glad I don't have to ingest vomit flavored whey slop.
>>
>>76652435
flaxseed has more omega 3 than chia
>>
How to eat flaxseed?
>>
I think it's good to get some omega 3 into my diet because I won't eat fish every day. I try to eat fish at least once per week though, because I know it is a superior source of omega 3. I think my skin benefits a bit from the balance it adds to my diet. I switched ny breakfast from 10% fat greek yogurt to 3% normal whole milk yogurt, added flaxseed, and replaced mixed nuts with walnuts plus (a few) brazil nuts. I also make sure to always have some fruit with decent vitamin c and such with it to offset impaired mineral absorption from the seeds.
