Help!
Just started extreme high intensity interval training, it's my second time and I kept coughing afterwards for a a minute and had a strong taste of blood in my mouth, my chest didn't feel too good either. It's calmed down now after 5 minutes.

This can't be normal

hiit isnt normal. its just putting a retardedly massive stress on your body.

Well yes, an great deal of stress on the body is the idea to adapt and become stronger/fitter/more powerful, or whatever your goes is. You can just relax under a blanket watching comfy shows with no exertion in the body at all, that's fine too. That would be more appropriate for /tv/ though

I already posted in another thread. I did HIIT for 7 years, I wasted my time and regret it. It is much harder and fatiguing than resistance training in the gym, while being far war's for hypertrophy. The only thing it can give you is a higher VO2max. If you are smart listen to my advice and lift weights instead.

Also, did your symptoms include difficulty breathing such that it was easier to breath when being forward? Could have been sth like a mini episode of acute heart failure leading to acute pulmonary edema causing it. This shouldn't happen unless you have a predisposing condition so you should check your heart instead with an ECG and echocardiography.

Why don't you ask me some questions. You're not a very attentive coach. I lift heavy and train for strength only. I've decided to become more fit and work on athleticism and stamina one or two days a week

It was a bit difficult to breathe, I don't think the position would've helped though. By the way I forgot to add that I'm not fat. How would I take this test?

Oh sorry, I looked up ECG, I had no idea what that was. Makes sense now. Thanks!

You moved more air through your throat/lungs than normal and caused irritation. If you were sucking air as hard as possible you stressed your intercoastal muscles. You should see a Dr but you are probably fine

Even old people can and should do hiit unless a Dr has told them not to

Advice appreciated. Hiit not being suitable is a bit hasty though, don't you think I should get used to it? Like most hard a new things. You're right I was inhaling and exhaling with the force of a steam train, which obviously isn't a usual thing. This is quite funny because I just say a video from Bas Ruten yesterday about increasing your stamina solely by stretching your intercostal muscles in a specific way regularly. I thought it was interesting

At some point, the training stress can become to much, and actually hinder adaption instead of signaling it. We all followed the hiit fad of the 2010, we all tried it, and all that happens is you get really tired with very little results.

Well we'll see
>>
>Coughing
Successfully, this is because your breathing muscles and lungs are sore.
Unsuccessfully its because the air dried out the mucus inside of your throat completely

>Blood taste
Its from the pulse going too high too fast, which is the point of HIT'
If repeated the lower peak is going to remove that

>Chest pain
Skill issue

>If repeated the lower peak is going to remove that

What do you mean by that?

>Skill issue

This is a non comment

I get that your VSO and VOS is weak anon, but come on. Is AN Y of the posts in this thread mentioning a alternative training form to HIIT?
>>
>>76651150
I'm not debating anything, but since you ask the are one or two anons telling me not to do hit. That's besides the point though. Just give me some advice, I'm all Ears
