Are these things good for me?They have have them at the gym. After my workout, I tried sitting in one of these things for 18 minutes at about 160-180 degrees (it was this high because it was later in the day and others had already used it) and when I got out I felt sublime, and all my anxiety was gone for the rest of the day.It was the best feeling I had in quite a while, and I would pay good money if I could feel that way all the time.The next day I tried it for 30 minutes at about 120-130 degrees (I was up early and it hadn't been used by anyone else so it hadn't been preheated as highly).I did not feel quite as good.But my question here is: is it healthy?I suspect my enjoyment came from the partial suffocation of my brain and amygdala, which was more intense at the 160ish degrees.And even though yesterday was less intense my head felt like a weird rock when I laid in bed last night. I was worried I had given myself brain damage and thinking about how much of my brain is now just dead matter.Its not really possible to find anyone shitting on this project online, so I have to skeptical for that reason alone.It also smells a little funny using it, like I may be inhaling the mechanical dust of a space heater which is basically what these things are.Thoughts?

>>76657526Real answer.Some Swedes did a long term study on suanas, and the TL:DR is “the more you do it the longer you live” 15 min a day, once a week lowered morbidities across all health domains by 10%, twice a week was 20% etc.The study they did was with a real sauna, not infared saunas, maybe they work the same, maybe not.I don’t like infared because it feels cheap and you only get hot on the parts of your body the light hits you, it feels inefficient and I don’t think it really heats up your body core well.But yeah, suanas are legit.
