These are fucking disgusting. Is the economy so bad we've really resorted to eating cat food and pretending we like it? My cat was mad I didn't share this catslop.
>>76660389I'll say it in every thread, use tons of lemon and add salt if they're not salty. It's night and day difference in taste if you don't like fish.
>>76660417These are particularly gross fish and people eat them lukewarm? I'm gagging
>>76660389You fell for the one (singular) deenzposter. That's on you.
>>76660389they'll also fuck up your kidneys. they've got like 3000% of the stuff that makes your body's uric acid spike and gives you kidney stones. probably why they are pushed so hard here. eat kipper snacks instead. they cost a bit more but they are made in germany and poland instead of china.
>>76660713Show me one example in any scientific or medical literature where anybody consumed sardines and as a result suffered kidney injury. You can't because you're just making things up randomly for attention.
>>76660704They are not really gross, its just a mild fish taste.Just do what I said.
>>76660389Everyone always said they taste bad so it took a while until I finally tried them. They have a super mild taste, do you just not eat fish at all?
>>76660888It wasn't the taste for me. It's not much different than tuna (if both in oil) but the idea of it is nasty. If I'm starving to death I'll have a can.
>>76660389>He doesn’t know how to season his deenz NGMI
>>76660891How is the idea of it nasty? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard unless you're vegan. Also stop buying it soaked in oil, especially sunflower oil. That's what makes it actually taste disgusting.>>76660704Eat them cold
>>76660860There's about 300mg of purine in a can, highest recommended daily intake is 400. It could lead to joint pain, gout, or kidney stones. If you're at risk or suffering from any, not recommended to eat them or some other types of meat.
>>76661064>Still no source.concession accepted, the discussion is over
>>76660389The brand/country of origin matters.
>>76660389get filtered
>>76660389Herring mogs. Picrel is god tier especially with hot white rice. Literally all you ever need. Nicer fillets, although skin and bone is good it's not always pleasant. And they might say deenz but they are herring, odd choice from Brunswick but I like em.
>>76660389Marco Polo brand, can't go better.Avoid Brunswick brand
get the smoked flavor
Sardines are the shit, love these little guys. Just annoying when you crunch on a bit of vertebrae though.
>>76661191just split it open and pull it off, ez
i don’t like seafood in general but i actually enjoy the king oscar sardines. mediterranean style or with jalapeños. all the cheaper brands i’ve tried tasted and looked like cat food or bait though. does mackerel taste much different?
>>76661201I mean yeah, good point. Feel stupid now.
>>76660389Why not tuna steak in water?
>>76660389I like the big mackerel cans.
>>76660389I eat a half a tin per day without any kind of seasoning. I do worry about the bpa lining though.
>>76661191I used to eat them whole. You can chew their skulls easily.
>>76660389Pick another brand. I've tried two brands and the one in olive oil tasted horrible, the one in onions oil tasted great.>The results suggested that it might not be safe to eat canned sardines from Brazil regularly.
>>76660389Packed in regular water is the least disgusting I have found. It rinses off easily, leaving less "fishiness" behind. Olive oil absorbs all the fishiness and seems to amplify the taste. All the mustard sauces and hot sauces and shit are just niggerish. Now its disgusting fish and a motuhful of vinegar and cayenne pepper. MMMMmmmmm Flavor town. No. Fuck that. If I open a can of water packed deenz, drain out the water and eat it with a big glass of water while distracting myself by looking at titty girls on IG, its not so bad.
>>76660417>>76661052I eat them even without lemon, in the oil. Good eating no matter what.
deenz are delicious but they're not cheapwish they were
>>76660389not all brands are the samewild planet is pretty good
I prefer canned salmon and yellowfin tuna but sardines are a decent alt
>>76661170For what purpose?
>>76661634Walmart in US is still 1.00 per can. Maybe 1.06
>>76661467You're a madman. The ones packed in water taste like non albacore tuna. You really need to try some King Oscar Mediterranean style packed in oil oil with spices and olives. Its divine. The pinnacle of tinned fish.
>>76661634it's the cheapest fish heretuna is double the price
>>76660389>he's afraid of a little fish they're literally designed by God to give you gainz and vitamins in a small and convenient package
>>76661095why lie about something like this? sardines aren't the only food with high purine content but they are one of the worst. they're probably the dumbest thing a board full of bodybuilders could consume. anyone pushing sardines here is ignorant or malicious.
>>76662412>one example in any scientific or medical literature where anybody consumed sardines and as a result suffered kidney injuryStill waiting on that source, buddy.
>>76662357>WalmartYou're legit retarded if you eat food from there. There's always some horrific discovery about some shit they were selling like the counterfeit eggs made of plastic or the radioactive shrimp.https://youtu.be/xcHRpuKOwKw
sardines are fucking good. I need to get some been awhile.
>>76660389OP just needs to start mustardmaxxing. I've been eating canned deenz (in oil) with my dad since I was like 6 just throw them on a cracker with some tard and it's a great snack
>>76661052>How is the idea of it nasty? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard unless you're vegan.>Also stop buying it soaked in oil, especially sunflower oil. That's what makes it actually taste disgusting.I'll have some lean beef tacos.
>>76660389You're supposed to buy the ones in tomato sauce. Those have less fat as well.
>>76660389These are so fucking good. I can eat them plain, or with hot sauce.
>>76663538Try mustard
I'll admit the fishy taste is a bit stronger for deenz than tuna, but I'll give you this: use the fishy taste and season with it in mind: dill, garlic (which if you cook with it often enough you can avoid being one of those weird people who has to supp vegetables), and cumin go incredibly with any seafood you can imagine - anything you can pair with any of those seasonings goes with the others and goes with the fish.
>>76660389My grandma used to say that if animals and insects dont like it, you shouldnt eat it
>>76660389Deenz' is basically sushi IMOFish is the best food, ever
>>76663598hi sharty
