Not too bulky and it does everything I want it to do like sleep tracking, sport tracking etc. Also the price is amazing compared to the more premium brands.If one just wants a step tracker then the cheapest china special might work okayish.

>>76661074Heart rate variability is kind of big right now. After like 4 weeks of baseline it can accurately gauge stress on the body and receptivity to training, not just cardio but weightlifting. Low hrv means recovery is happening. High hrv means it isn't. How this plays in cardio is you can massively increase the benefit vo2 max training and know when you need to do it by not putting it on some kind of rigid time table. Same deal with lifting reap the most gains for more concisely timing workouts around hrv. Rather than routine hopping and hoping it lines up with your largely genetic controlled recovery. That's probably the biggest reason to have one.

I stopped drinking alcohol after 7 pm on weekdays and limited it on weekends because I could see how it affected my sleep by raising stress levels, even if I still got 7.5-8 hours. Since figuring these things out my stress levels trending down and my sleep is trending up.At first it was rough though because I guess I was ignoring my body's fatigue or something. First few months after my watch telling me I had run out of energy I was tired all the time, but my lifestyle hadn't changed, it was just awareness.
i bought some chink one off amazon and after a couple months the vibrating mechanism stopped working. i assume all cheap ones are like this

Sure, an amazfit or xiaomi band can do the job good enough, but the samsung fitness app has a ton of info and it makes suggestions about a ton of shit you can improve. Ive had the galaxy watch active, 4, 6 and last week i got the ultra, and oh boi, the ultra does tickle my fitness autism with a few new functions and added data it has. I had an old xiaomi band too and i had no complains about it, it just worked, but the samsung one is top notch and the best part is you dont have to pay a retarded subscription, you just install everything and you have everything. My dad has owned a bunch of cheap bands and some of them had paywalled functions, which honestly its an insult for me paying for something and not having everything working. Samsungs app track everything sensor related (ofc) and a few things like your diet if you take the time to type the data in, the nutrients info is kinda basic, but the food database is great (it has its downsides too like you cant add a multivitamin or vitamin C supp, the app somehow refuses to log supplements for some reason)

I got a garmin watch cheap secondhand and it really motivated to increase those cardio seshes its fun to see all the stats afterwards

There are those smart rings too and shit can get cheap as hell but you dont wanna be wearing rings doing lifts, shit might get caught. Try to put on the other wrist, bicep or part of your arm the sensor facing to get better reading.
