>out of gym pants/shorts and I don't have time to wash and dry them today
>Wear jeans instead for today's session
>Feel comfy
>Some gym worker comes up to me
>"you can't use jeans at the gym, sorry, it's our only rule"
Why? Do people not leave sweat on surfaces when wearing "gym attire"? Why is this a big no no? These gym workers also don't give a shit that most people don't use towels and leave a puddle of sweat on all the equipment.

It seems like this is more of a normalfag social/peer pressure thing than anything else.
>>
>>76665497
What'd you do after that? Mumble out a "s-sorry..." and shuffle out of the gym like a bitch?
>>
>>76665507
No, I told them that I was finishing my workout and that they didn't tell me that was a rule when I signed up, but, since they talked to me politely, I would just wear shorts next time

Making every situation a power struggle is a sign of high estrogen levels, anon. Are you well regulated?
>>
>>76665497
Wow you’re such a marginalized victimcel. My heart goes out to you anon.
>>
>>76665497
should have just removed the jeans and work with only your underwear, they have no rule against that
>>
>>76665692
Bring back working out in briefs
>>
>>76665497
I had this same thing happened to me.
It is of course just a matter of norms, but it infuriated me to no end that it was presented to without the slightest insight. Instead they alluded to ”priority of cleanliness”
>>
>>76665497
>only rule
So they’re cool with cranking down in the locker rooms?
>>
probably because most people would do a 360 and walk away if the first thing they saw at a gym they are interested in joining is random dudes lifting in jeans. people looking sportsy is good advertisement
yeah it's bullshit but that's how things work. it's even gayer when they give you shit for being shirtless
>>
>>76665497
Jeans wear out the leather on the machines when you rub against it. You're lucky they didn't kick you out
>>
>>76665497
Because the metal rivets tear up the upholstery on the benches.
Same you reason you not supposed to put dumbbells on the benches.
Do you fucking zoomers not know anything about gym etiquette?
Although I shoiuldnt be surprised. None of even know how to lift, you just download some "program" with a cool name Jacked Blaster 2.0 or some gay shit and follow it rep for rep with no understanding of what you're doing because some faggot on shittok told you it will make you jacked.
>>
>>76665497
Wearing jeans in the gym is jeetcoded
Sorry saar
>>
>>76665801
>You're lucky they didn't kick you out
Cuck mentality.

>>76665805
>Because the metal rivets tear up the upholstery
How is that the case boomer? The rivets you talk about are round and smooth. They're also found on the upper front part of the jeans, so they're not in contact with anything when you're laying or sitting down on a bench
>>
>>76665836
idiot
And why are you asking me? I didnt make the rule. Go ask the gym manager.
>>
>>76665889
>Or its because those jeans are used everywhere all the time and might not get washed at all.
The same as any other piece of clothing

>>76665863
Most jeans do not have those on that side. Regardless, they are smooth and polished, they do not pinch fabric/leather nor create enough friction to tear it apart.

What actually tears upholstery is regular usage where forces are applied and the fabric is stretched, bent, etc.
>>
>>76665904
again, why are you lecturing me? I dont own any gyms and dont make any rules. Go around to all the gyms with this rule and teach them the error of their ways instead of being a know-it-all faggot on the internet
>>
>>76665497
Wear leggings next time.
Who know, perhaps a hot guy will spot you and you can rub your bodies together in the showers and have hot sex

One time I wore sandals to the gym and the very next day they had added a sign that said "Closed toe shoes only"
>>
>>76665989
(You) are lecturing me about jean rivets anon. I'm telling you, they're soft and smooth. They would never tear any upholstery
>>
>>76665805
It's this.
Also jeans fucking SUCK and there is never ever a reason to wear them, ever. They are heavy, restrict mobility, have no airflow, no flex at all. They are the most overrated garbage piece of shit clothing, and not suitable for any /fit/ man.
>>
>>76667021
>They are heavy, restrict mobility, have no airflow, no flex at all.
This can be good or bad depending on your use case. Anyhow, they're fine for anything that isn't squatting

They have literally no value unless you're crawling on your knees, and being able to squat unironically solves that problem most of the time. Everyone should be able to squat. Worst case scenario I would rather just wear kneepads.

So I can be naked? Retards.
