My friend saw a noob dyel at his gym try to bench two plates just because he spotted someone else doing two and he literally instantly dropped it on himself. I guess some people are just retarded and think they can motivate themselves into lifting twice as much as they actually can.

I do this to dyels after their last rep on a machine and make sure to stare them down as I push out 20+ reps using their weight as a warm up.

I always start at a stupid low weight and start repping out fast easy reps to warm up for the work ahead
I guess it's cause when I started training I was coached at an olympic weightlifting club and we always warmed up with a broom stick, then picked up an empty bar and played it with it for a while before adding weight bit by bit up to our working sets
