You've got the potential to do some really good body adjustment. Here's what I'd suggest:

1. Eat more protein but less carbs. Greek yogurt, tuna, grilled chicken, etc. Cheat meals every once in a while is fine, but otherwise stay strong.

2. Do a 3-1 split. 3 days on, 1 day of rest. Different muscle groups each time, and end with 10 minutes of cardio. Cardio = raised heartrate. If you aren't building up a sweat and breathing heavy, you can go harder here.

3. Cooldown. This is the intricate part. Stretch, protein shake, shower. Personally, I get naked and lie on my bed. Then, I lift my legs up and do a reverse frog pose, rocking onto my back. Once in this position, I gengtly ladle my balls over my dick to expose region between the testicles and anus. Using my other hand, I l then rhythmically slap my middle and ring finger against the area making very distinct quick whapping sounds. This causes no pain, and I will stress that this does not envoke any sexual arousal either. Instead, I force a state of intense focus, and also stretch my spine. Occasionally I will slap close to my butthole with the fingers, as well as toward the fore with slaps on the rear base of my balls. Again, this causes no pain, and isn't sexual. During this period, I sometimes sniff the fingers as a breathing endurance exercise, but I prefer just making the little slaps. Personally I greatly enjoy the experience and my recovery has improved tenfold. I would compare it to yoga + sniffing and drumming the region in between your balls and butthole. It's a good immediate recovery stimulus, and I wholly reccommend doing it in the private comfort of your own home, or maybe a camping tent if you like camping. I often play music for this, but it depends on the mood: typically jazz, but I opt for limp bizkit and metal when I need more vigor. The tempo does influence my speed so I need to be careful: I have bruised the area by accident before. All in all, 10/10 recovery method if done right.
