Which should I get for doing weighted dips? I feel like the weighted vest would be better for the smaller increments + use on other calisthenic movements, but the belt would be lot more convenient since I could load it with more weight and don't have to carry the weights with me to and from the gym
belt
Im doing 45kgs weighted neutral pullups of course not a vest lmaooo
The dip belt

>>76669557I have both. The belt can be loaded much higher but it's really only good for belt squats, dips, pushups and sled pulls. The vest can be used for more than that - rucking, weighted jumps, twists/rotational work, push ups, good mornings/augmenting other hinge work like deadlifts or kb swings...but the weight is limited. My Mir goes up to 64kg/140lb and when fully loaded is quite unweildy.
>>76669557I have pic rel and it's great and I do use it for dips but I have it for weighted pushups. When I still had access to a bench but also did weighted dips and chins, I found a belt comfier and faster.

>>76669647Difference is i can instantly remove weight from the belt after lifting and then put it back after resting
>>76669557Just use a backpack
>>76669707>come to you >put the knob in my mouth and start sucking on itWatcha gonna do?
>>76669721Cum x failure
>>76669557Belt, vests are for millarp fags
>>76669557Weighted vests are infinitely superior for their versatility, if you workout from home you can do pretty much everything and just put on a vest to get freakishly strong, you can also do plyometrics with the vest on which is instant ko power guaranteed. The problem is that it can get very expensive and is difficult to put it on and off.The belt allows you to load up pretty heavy on pull ups and dips but that's it, it has no other uses, you can maybe do some bullshit to set up push ups with the belt but that's where the vest is superior.Vests also mog for athletism, just wearing it makes you move a lot faster when you take it off but drilling some shadow boxing with the vest off or running or jumping etc will make that boost stick around over time. You can also take it anywhere and workout on the road, at parks, at home, at hotels and you can also use it for dumbbell lifts and even kettlebell swings. You can just walk with it and burn way more calories.I fucking love vests and ankle/wrist weights, i don't understand why they fell off in popularity.Best way to train.
I just wear my plate carrier. add some mags or slabs of iron in the pockets if I want more weight
>>76669557Squat stands for the win again, i can actually do wide grip and do dips without the middle bar on top of j hook bench(can slide it forward then lift it up like the powerlifting squat thing) and have it set up for flat on the safeties(can throw it way back to rack) and incline/mp on the rack(kinda sketchy for squats too). The one is just fucked up and leaning i want a top quality squat stand set without the middle part and actual dip bars.
>>76669557Just get cheap squat stands for like 80 dollars so you can do dips all the time.

>>76669557if you were doing any serious weight ud know the answer. since youre not just look what people that dip serious weight use.
>>76669906I saw that episode of Dragonball Z too
>>76669906Crawford was training with a weighted vest on for his fight against canelo, so.
>>76669557I went with belt and didn't regret itBUT I always wrap the belt over one shoulder and across my chest rather than my waist (for dips)Feels bestIf you were interested in doing calisthenics circuits, like dips->chins->xyz jim wendler style, then sure the vest will work. For what it's worth you can get a cheap fake airsoft plate carrier and put plates in it, that way you get a vest for cheap and don't need to buy weights for it, plenty of tutorials for this on yt
