so high intensity has been working alright for me for a long time, but I was getting a lot of strain injuries that weren't healing properly and my general recovery has kinda gone to shit
has anyone of you eventually come back to regular moderate volume/moderate intensity, no failure? do you make progress? are you injury-free? does your body feel less strained in general?

Introduce some less intense training to space out your high intensity sessions allowing you more opportunity to recover.

Just warm up with light weight for 10 reps to avoid injuries. I am naturally the strongest man in the world and I never get injured. I can punch through bone and concrete blocks. I could snap a man’s neck with one hand.
