Minoxidil is trying to treat the symptoms instead of the cause. Minox is pretty much used to try and restore whatever can be restored AFTER you've stopped further balding. You need Finasteride or Dutasteride; without either of those Minoxidil is just slowing the inevitable but it's a losing battle.

Yes, it does help with regrowing and strengthening your hair. Oral min is more effective than the liquid form and is more likely to work since it doesn't require a certain enzyme to work like the liquid. It won't stop your hair loss like finasteride/dutasteride tho.

Minoxidil promotes growth but doesn't stop receding.
Receding is caused by your scalp skin being too sensitive to DHT and it shrinking your hair follicles.
Males have more testasterone and therefore more byproduct DHT, that's why it's called MALE pattern baldness.

To regrow hair you need both, DHT inhibitor (Fin or Dut) + ORAL minoxidil. Not taking oral minoxidil is cope.
You have to be prescribed for it and it's far more effective than just some goop you put on your head in the area you dream you had hair.
You have to realize though, if you let it go too far like in your pic and the skin is scared over in that area (you can see it shine in light a bit, reflect) hair will NEVER come back there, it can't.
Only hair that can come back will and a lot of times its not enough. Hair transplant is needed and in case of hair transplant you will still have to use both Fin+Min for it to work.

I kinda regrow hair because i am concious of keeping hornonal function high.
