Most people don't know what they don't know. A personal trainer has likely been doing things for years and has a better way to improve your fitness.

But if you've got a system that works and you're pretty happy with your progress theres no point in wasting money.

Nowadays you can check with AI, and ask it what you don't know.
It's not bullet proof, but most often is good enough.
OTOH, with a PT you're paying for a gymbro, a spotter, and an hypeman.
Do you need it? Do you even want it? I know I don't, but for some that can make a difference.

A good coach can help you to push you more and get closer to your limit. Assuming he isn't retarded, which is rare.

A good training buddy can achieve a lot of the same.
