How effective would Master Roshi's training be IRL? Has anyone ever done anything similar?
>>
it's just for filtering time wasters
>>
Not as effective as it was in DB

Loaded carries, lots of rotational, plyo and ballistic work. Great for work capacity.

That part is legitimately good advice

Some with a site called realanimetraining.com basically wrote down the exact workout from the manga
https://real-anime-training.blogspot.com/2008/01/roshis-training-workout.html

It'll give you insane athlete endurance and farmboy strength and MAYBE high school athlete level speed but it wont quite turn you into goku

Poor for hypertrophy but great for overall strength.
Absolutely do not do it every day, shonen protagonists don't need to worry about cartilage and ligaments wearing themselves to fuck because you're walking around with a hundred extra pounds strapped on your back at all moments.
