trying to pack on muscle mass as a vegetarian is hopeless isn't it
>>
>>76676671
vegetarian? just eat whey protein, eat high protein yogurts/skyr, eat beans and shit.
>>
>>76676671
More like muscle ASS amiright
>>
>>76676671
Just eat eggs and dairy, retard.
>>
my sister was unironically a vegetarian powerlifter. She was pretty strong and made it state and shit. She would just literally eat grilled cheese sandwitches all the time. Makes me think that the protein requirements in scientific literature have to be over blown or that some people are just way more efficient with their metabolism of protein than others.

>>76676672
dairy gives me acne

>>76676684
was she natty
>>
>>76676685
yep
>>
>>76676684
What did her farts smell like? Asking for myself
>>
>>76676671
Not really. You just need supplements.

Or just combine two sources of food to get your full aminoacids, but then you'll become fat because vegan proteins are usually packed with carbs or fat
>>
>>76676671
lentils, tofu, nuts and chickpeas.

Still probably won't get enough protein. Aside from protein, the additional benefit of eating meat is the amino acids, so you dont have to supplement.
>>
>>76676703
>Aside from protein, the additional benefit of eating meat is the amino acids
Hmmm
>>
eggs
dairy (whey, milk, skyr, yoghurt)
>>
>>76676672
>eat beans
Man. Beans are magical. You see so many poor kids eating ramen all the time. No. You get on the cowboy diet and buy some fucking beans. The price per ounce cooked is less than ramen, and they will actually keep you sated for a good 8 hours and are pretty damn healthy. Especially compared to processed food.

I'm telling you. Teach your kids when they go to college. Teach them how to make some fucking beans in a pot. Throw some fucking onions and hot sauce on that shit and you're all set.
>>
>>76677276
Beans are definetely high protein but the anti nutrients in them probably do more harm than good, if you are eating large quantities. It's also the same deal with cheese.
IMO, the 3 cleanest sources of veg protein are eggs, leafy greens (you must eat it by the pound, not a few leaves with your pasta) & soaked/sprouted nuts & seeds.

6'2, 190lbs, this is after a 8 month bulk and a 3 month cut during my first year doing bodybuilding specific training as a VEGAN. I started at 160lbs and with a higher fat % than in the picture.
I'm on my second bulk now weighting 202lbs. Yes, you can pack on muscle while only eating vegetables, just be intelligent when combining different sources of incomplete proteins that complement each other, ie: lentils/chickpeas/beans + a cereal. The only thing that's easier eating animal products is food volume. You have to gobble a ton of food if you're vegan and wanna do it the healthy way.
Stop whinning and eat your greens. Eating dairy and eggs makes it even easier.
>>
>>76677290
The anti-nutrient babble is actually a myth put forward by the meat industry and a bunch of retards. if you soak legumes and even more if you cook them those "anti-nutrients" are reduced to almost none. Also those antinutrients have shown to be almost neutered by your intestinal bacteria and also have anti-cancer properties in the human body.
>>
>>76676684
How many sandwiches a day? How much cheese?
>>
>>76677297
>getting that big at 6'2 on vegetables

Eat clen and tren hard I guess, but why lie to anonymous people? Nobody will ever know you or see your face. What do you gain?
>>
>>76677364
What's unnatural about that picture lmao. They talk about gymflation in social networks.4chan gym content consumers have developed such paranoia that one single year of serious nutrition and training is considered unnatural lmao.

The fuck? The guy's body is absolutely achievable, what are you even on? No shitty skin, no huge round shoulders, normal bodyfat percentage... The one time where I actually believe someone being a vegan, especially since he mentions the gobbling down tons of food issue which only people who have actually try a vegan diet would talk about
>>
>>76678191
Yeah look how much mass is on this faggot.
>>
>>76676685

Stay smol bro

I will start grilled cheese maxxing now.

Not at all, I have been "vegetarian" for almost a year. Its awesome. Eggs and dairy dude. Sounds like (you) problem.
>>
>>76678248
190lbs at the bf% is pretty big. But at the same time the height + weight + pic don't add up to me. Looks more like 175 to me, but then again there are so many variables so I don't really give a fuck. Definitely natty though.
>>

/thread

and eggs, i can reach 180-200 grams of protein with some effort on a 2k kcal diet. If you got more calories to spare (when not cutting) it's even easier.

thing about vegetarism is that its the same shit you're going to be eating all the time, eggs, dairy and beans/legumes. every single day, at least omnivores can mix up their protein a lot i envy that a little, but at least meat is getting expensive as fuck so get fucked
>>
>>76678580
At that height 175 is tiny, I was going to estimate his weight the other way
>>
>>76677315
Beans are trash. Many people get digestive issues from them or gas & bloating at the very least. They are not an optimal vehetarian food by any stretch of the imagination.

Beans are dirty fuel. Eat more veggies and more rice instead.
>>
>>76676685
You'll be fine. Eat dairy and eggs
>>
>>76678191

because I'm a societal reject, like you. Like all of us.
Also I found out my ex gf fucked a load of indians and I've never recovered from it. I went down on her. Multiple times.

Speak for yourself, bro. Don't project. It's unhealthy.

Cottage cheese is the GOAT. 20+ grams of protein in a single serving, doesn't take up half your stomach unlike some other so called "protein rich" veggie shit, and it's dirt cheap.
>>
>>76678593
>eggs, dairy and beans/legumes. every single day
I hear you. Doing the same. Still dairy is very varied. Cottage cheese, low fat cheese, milk.

>>76681000
>Cottage cheese is the GOAT. 20+ grams of protein in a single serving, doesn't take up half your stomach unlike some other so called "protein rich" veggie shit, and it's dirt cheap.

If you're a blessed by gainz Jesus you live in Deutschland and have access to Magerquark and Harzer Käse. These two are the absolure GOATs of gainz.
>>
>>76681000
What country are you from?
>>
>>76678580
6'2@190 @10% bf is smol af
He'd have to gain 40lbs of lean mass to be actually big
>>
>>76678593
Unless you have 225 lbs of lean mass, that's way too much protein
At my peak, my lean body mass was around 250lbs and I barely ate 200g/day

Overdoing protein unironically hurts your gains
>>
>>76676671
I don't understand how you guys can spend all day on a board dedicated to health and nutrition and still be completely fucking clueless.

The only difference between animal and vegetable sources of protein is that the vegetable sources are less bioavailable. What does that mean? Are the vegetable sources worthless, does your body fully reject them? No, it just utilizes them less efficiently.

What does this mean if you're trying to get all your protein from vegetable sources? It means that you need to eat slightly more to get the same protein you would from an animal source. That's it, the end. Everything gets broken down into the same amino acids. The methionine you get from a steak is exactly the same as the methionine you get from beans. The former just takes a little less work for your body to process.
>>
>>76677364
if you don't think this is natty you are blackpilled beyond belief
>>
>>76679165
Oh I'm retarded, I don't know why I thought 6' vs. 6'2. Yeah 175 at 6'2 would be too small.
>>
>>76681265
>I don't understand how you guys can spend all day on a board dedicated to health and nutrition
The reason you dont understand is because you are projecting. Noobdy is on this board "all day". When you start with faulty premise, of course it isn't going to make sense.
>>
>>76676671
Nope, I went from 220 to 285 as a vegetarian (with about 1 year of veganism in there), but I ate a FUCKTON of food to get there. Literally, 5000-8000 cal. Indian buffet lunches, tons of fake meat products, tons of dairy, etc.
Did I get bigger? Yes. Did I also get fat at the same time? Of course. Did my health suffer? Most certainly, as when I went back to eating meat and only clean foods, my cholesterol dropped from being way out of bounds to well within bounds within 6 months, I kept the mass, lost the fat, and found that vegetarian/vegan diets for lifting are pure ass because they simply can't compete.
There's a reason you've NEVER seen an actual large, well-built lifelong vegan bodybuilder, because they don't exist. Sure, some people have done "okay", some people have looked good but were frauds (ate meat for years, went meat-free for 6 months and claimed it was how they built their progress shit, or, they're juiced), but none are champions, none can stack up to the best of the best, so as long as you're okay being perpetually mediocre, sure, be vegetarian and lift, and you'll do okay. If you want to be great, you're gonna have to eat meat, no matter how much you cope and deny reality.
>>
>>76677297

Looking great especially for your size!
Staying vegan for a long time is reserved for the "hormonally" gifted.
>>
>>76680540

x2 - highly annoying
>>
>>76681265

Try different diets for a long time and you'll see that your digestive tract will give you strong hints where you should be heading.
>>
>>76681461

Vegan athletes are rare for a reason.
>>
>>76676671
just eat meat?
>>
I'm vegan.
>peanut butter
>spinach
>mushrooms
>green beans
>carrots and celery occasionally
>plenty of carbs, sugars and fiber
>1-2 protein shakes a day, made with almond milk or coconut milk. they give me 16g each
This has been fine for me.
>>
>>76680710
You're arguing with another man on 4chan brother, you're a reject whether you're aware or not
>>
>>76681461
>There's a reason you've NEVER seen an actual large, well-built lifelong vegan bodybuilder, because they don't exist
I can count lifelong vegans in non-poor countries with the fingers of one single hand. We'll begin seeing those lifelong vegan athletes more and more as time passes. Vegatarianism as an actual wide social phenomenon has been with us for less than 50 years.
>I went from 220 to 285
>5000-8000 cal
>I kept the mass, lost the fat
>1 year of veganism
Are you fucking kidding me. You where morbidly obese, obviously your health is going to be fucked in every possible aspect. You were drowning in dietary cholesterol even when you were "vegetarian" (industrial pastries are vegetarian too lmao).
The body doesn't distinguish between animal and vegetal proteins, they're the same and if you look at the whole dietary pattern vegan diets are infinitely more nutrient dense.
