How much will it impact performance if I run a few miles before lifting/calisthenics?
>>76678817A very noticeable amount, depending on how hard you run. Basically, you're gonna sacrifice one or the other or both. Best to divide the days.
You'll have to change your entire workout. Just don't bother. Last time I ran a 10k before leg day I ended up failing my first working set 3/7 reps in.
>>76678817You'll be fine, and you should do it regularly to warm up before your lift. Good cardio helps you lift as you can recover faster and can go further than if you just lifted alone.
test
>>76678817A lot, even for upper body. I tried it.
>>76679519>>76679530>>76680078Zero stamina power lifters detected.Building up stamina via cardio is great for you and has way more health benefits than lifting heavy shit. Lift heavy shit a couple of days and run a couple of days - perfect balance.
would alternating lifting and cardio every day work if you implemented core exercises before your cardio? or should you exercise your core on lifting days? or everyday?
>>76678817Just lift more instead with the extra energy. Being run down effects gains at least with working weight even if before it effects test/sleep. If youre actually being optimal with growth and bulking youll want to already have good cardio not to be working on it. Id keep it at the end of the lifting week if anything, sprints for more powerful lungs and liss+hard run spurts for better recovery. Being heavy into cardio 100% fucks hypertrophy if nothing but weekly workload. If you disagree its because you dont do enough pump work after power, aux work is meant to be less demanding on cns.
>>76680263Id put more cns demanding shit at the end of the lifting week as recovery means that in 2-4 days of rest the extra work means you arent as fatigued throughou the week and maybe have to add 1 day rest. I always do legs/core at the end of the lifting week to keep the calories high while recovering chest/delts youll see a ton of gains programming that, and ofc i spam machines/cable delts/arms basically every day since you wont see much gains resting them more than 1-2 days let alone working weight being lowered.
