I thought shit like this (rate of force, plyomentrics) matters in the beginning but it really doesn't. Working close to maximal load will always produce full motor recruitment. It's a good mental image to do concentrics as fast as possible on all sets even on warm ups as it primes the CNS but you don't want to be going so hard you start jumping on dips and squats. Hm ive been doing speed reps a lot and weirdly enough i was making 0 size progress without rpe10 and speed work for 1-5reps. Im thinking i need to get some cables to do a lot of rpe10 chest/delt work without getting tendonitis. Or i need to grow delts more i just got on delt biased flat bench and actually got a solid pump. I honestly think the lever ratio is huge for weight vs speed in terms of max speed of someone with powerlifting proportions is never gonna be close to vice versa just like how some people suck at jumping by a solid 50% difference in potential or whatever.

There are extremely challenging progressions to all these exercises. 1 arm pull up/row/pushup and pelican dips. Most of you will never be able to max out calisthenics. You can use weights instead but there are very simple linear calisthenic progressions without weights by abusing angles and lever arms.

I argued this in the other thread about power-lifting: these people would be much better off just focusing on regular workouts and losing weight, while improving other aspects of their lives. I mean the amount of effort, time, and strain on your body it takes just to life heavy shit for 0 dollars (actually, most people pay to do this at a gym, so they are losing money) is astounding to me.
