Why are my calves so small after 3 years of working them out 3x a week to failure?
>>
>>76681869
The only person I’ve ever seen work calves is a turbomanlet, like 160cm. Are you a manlet, anon?
>>
>>76681869
calf size and forearm size is genetic
it's not like the rest of your muscles where they can grow and get big
>>
>>76681901
meaning if you're born with small wrists small chance you're gonna get super massive forearms
same thing being born with small legs
you can have skinny or flabby arms and work toward big biceps. Small glutes and work toward a big ass. But you cant fix small bones that the muscles are connected to
>>
>>76681916
what are small wrists? Mine are in 16.5cm circumference.

You can get your tendors to be bigger if you do impact sports.
>>
>>76681869
You did Donkey calf raises, seated calf raises and dorsiflexion for your tibialis 3x a week?
>>
>>76681869
Calves grow from cardio. Training them is a complete waste of time
>>
>>76681869
Is either of those pictures you?
>>
Here's everything you need to know about calf training:

https://bodyrecomposition.com/muscle-gain/training-the-calves

Here's a better, more sustainable way to train them than Lyle's workout suggestion

>>
I'm so happy my ancestors blessed me with big calves. Never have to trein those babies.
>>
>>76681869

>>

>t. big calves and skeletal forearms
>>
>>76681869
Were you ever fat as a kid?
>>
>>76681869
Wear flat sandals (tevas are my choice) and walk everywhere you can. If possible, make some of those trips to the grocery store and wear a backpack/farmers carry your groceries home for extra gainz.

I am aware that this sounds too simple to work, but my anecdotal experience once I moved to a city and started walking more was that my calves blew up with basically no effort outside of my normal routine. I do think carrying weight was a big part of that, but the key is sandals, not sneakers.
>>
>>76681869
having big calves with toned muscle is my stress and i don't even train calves.
>>
>>76681869
Let me guess, seated calf raises? Let me guess, full ROM? Couldn't be me
>>
>>76681901
>calf size and forearm size is genetic
if we go with that logic i should have 16in forearms like my dad and ive never even seen the man lift weights my entire life, yet here i am a wristlet and a forearmlet
>>

Be raised as a fat child then lose the weight by 18. If not it is too late and all you can hope for is more definition and miniscule size gains.

Better reroll
I basically tried literally everything to get them to grow. High/low volume, high reps, low reps, progressive overload, hill sprints, hiking, rucking, etc.
I'm about 5 times stronger on calf raises than I was years ago and they're no bigger, hell they're smaller now since I'm leaner.
Calves are purely genetic and nothing shows that more than roiders on grams of gear who still struggle to get even mediocre calves.
>>
>>76681901
Forearms can absolutely grow. It looks a bit silly because your small wrists stays tiny but they do grow. Calves are just cursed.

how did you grew your calves after 1991
>>
>>76681869
It's possible that your gastrocnemius muscle has a high percentage of type I muscle fibers, alongside your soleus, so they don't respond well to heavy resistance training.
Try hitting them with endurance work instead. Do lots of uphill walking, or continue working them but with very high rep ranges.
I myself built big beautiful calves simply through over a decade of walking multiple kilometers every single day. And no I'm not a fatass.

calf size is highly dependent on genetics and doesn't really grow from exercise even if it does get stronger and such, atleast not much.
>>
>>76681869
You look like you didn't get much for legs either. Plus you have high calves. Not prone to growing.
How much can you toe press?
How much can you squat?
What is your ankle measurement? I'm guessing around 8." Not a good sign if so.
>>76682179
Nothing grows from cardio. Calves grow from moving heavy weight like everything else.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htKV_sD_AyQ&pp=ygUWYWtpbyBub2d1Y2hpIGhlZWwtaG9vaw%3D%3D
point yo toes, u can even pick the gastroc head by pointing toes inwards or outwards - yes it works here unlike with calf raises because this movement uses gastrocnemius as it was intended to use, the bones of straight knee joint aren't poking the gastrocnemius (like in calf raises) - all good things :D

asians in general have better posture - this leads to better walking and more calves
>but niggers
some niggers have calves

niggers aren't human bot - fuck off, yes it's genetic, the condition of not belonging to human race and long achilles and short gastroc

that's NOT good posture, part of motion with leg swinging back and knee bending and ankle bending is literally NOT present when u r hunched forward bot

walking is awesome, the best, but if u want shortcut to gastrocnemius it's heel-hook - just few "sets" of isometric hold a week will do that :D

>>

I think a big part of the reason is how one walks. If you are a heel walker your calves aren't getting much use. If you try to focus on toe walking you use your calves a bit more.

>>
>>76688463
he's some brown schizo who has shat up this dead board for a while, he probably studies to become a physical therapist or something and basically just practices here trying to get dopamine hits with his "knowledge", thing is calves have always been a massive problem for bodybuilders and people have figured out ages ago they don't really grow without the right genetics, pros that struggle with calves and insist on having them will probably resort to minor amounts of synthol and the like.
people have figured out how to make everything else grow properly, but no they just somehow are all doing it wrong and you need this ultraspecific set of exercises nobody does.
i once trained my calves 3 times a week with lots of volume and weight, including tibialsis raises for months in an attempt to get rid of shin splints and you'd expect this type of thing to make any other muscle grow but it didnt, and i don't even have shitty nigger calf genetics.

Calves need to be trained at least 5x a week for real growth in non-responders, and I'm not kidding. Sure, genetics play a big role due to tendon length, but you have to realize that most normie men who have large calves have them due to their work lifestyle of being on their feet 8 hours a day. You'll rarely see a construction worker with small calves unless they're super skinny in general.
The fact is that humans are biologically adapted to be on our feet for damn near the entire day, so our calves need constant stimulation to grow. Same with forearms to a lesser extent. Only blacks are really cucked since their calf genetics are subhuman tier.
>>
>>76688739
more magical thinking bullshit, lots of sports refute this where they constantly hammer their calves with practice day in day out and still have small calves, basically every muscle grows from the same kind of stimulus but no this one thing is just magically different because the people who say its pointless are just wrong they have to be ok..

nobody even gives a fuck about calves so why keep coping like this? the people who have big calves always had them, nobody has ever posted evidence of calf growth after doing XYZ cope-fantasy.

you can accept other muscles not responding to exercise but calves just HAVE to be done wrong by everyone who says they don't.
>>
>>76688790
Why does every former fat person have huge calves?
>>
Calves need long term usage, like rucking or hiking for hours, they just wont frow like other muscles
>>
>>76688810
they don't, thats one of the dumbest myths about calves, fat people are fat, not muscular, if a fat guy loses weight and still has big calves he probably had them before he got fat.
>>
>>76688876
>if a fat guy loses weight and still has big calves he probably had them before he got fat
That's not the point, retard. ALL fat people who've lost weight have big calves - at the very least, none of them have small calves. This is a statistical anomaly if they had the same chance as anyone else to have genetically small calves.
>>
>>76681962
Yes, most men are between 6.5 and 7 inches. 16.5 cm is not even 6.5 inches
>>
>>76681869
>small muscle
You dont build muscle because you are bulking for like 1hr a day total on your bulk, try lifting more or being better at carb/protein timing.
>fats
Ill eat butter every day so i have cholesterol to synthesize into testosterone youre doing some mid 2000s fitness magazine shit i just cant.
>>
>>76689290
>why is calves being small muscle matter
If not at constant surplus you get less. Big muscles grow faster even if it was a small muscle and now has more mass. You can however lift more often and proportionally not great but in comparison to shitty lifting style youll grow more in 2mo than you did in a year because of pump.
>>

>That's not the point, retard. ALL fat people who've lost weight have big calves - at the very least, none of them have small calves.
no they don't retard, most don't even have big calves while fat, and fat people are not exactly known for walking everywhere, think for yourself for once low iq dumbass. you don't say the same shit about quads and hamstrings either, oh you want a massive sixpack? bro try bulking to 300lbs all the times you stand up you're basically doing a heavy ass fucking lift bro you'll be jacked! bro ofcourse i have 30 inch biceps, dont you know i grew up obese and lifted my fat fucking arm shoveling burgers into my face all day??
