What do you do when you have no energy for a workout. When you can’t hit any of your lift targets and don’t feel the spark?
Go home and call it a day, or just lift less weight for more reps? Something else?

My parents were fornicators and I see no merit in that.
>>
>>76682177
still do it even if it's half assed
I already took the time to get there might as well do it if for the conditioning alone

This. When I'm feeling especially unmotivated or don't feel like I've recovered enough, I'll go for lighter weight endurance training with high rapes.
>>
>>76682177
usually go for a run

Pretty sure they were two humans.
>>
>>76682389
You meant reps, right?
>>
>>76682542
Why not both?

Sour grapes cope.
>>

all my ancestors were rapists and it was a lot easier for them since the other males either did not stop them or did not use guns to do it so they could feasibly just overpower everyone
>>

Controversial, but I pull through with the session when I'm up for it. Sometimes you don't know, so you always have to at least try. Lots of times you feel shitty or weak but actually set PRs or hit your goals - but if I'm actually in bad shape I just fuck off again. That's all assuming I have strength goals. If you don't care about strength I think you can always have a productive workout.

Thank you for this image OP. Thank you very much.

It's pretty much my life's philosophy that I'm the product of every single one of my ancestor's struggles, and have inherited each and every one's ability to overcome them.

In my job I help people with autism, ADHD, bipolar disorder, BPD and provide coaching. I try to come up with hundreds of different ways to transmit that same feeling to them and help them unlock their potential.

I'm going to hang this image in my office.

Thank you again.

Anyway, as for your question.

1. Cold shower

2. Modafinil

3. Caffeine

>When you can’t hit any of your lift targets and don’t feel the spark?

My target is to lift itself. Forget about targets. Forget about results. Focus on consistency. The targets will demotivate you. What if you can't reach it? Not only does the demotivation dampen your workout, there's the risk of not going to work out altogether. But, if you focus on just going, no matter what, being a journeyman weightlifter, it's far more likely you will reach your targets ANYHOW as a by-product of your consistency and development.

Things happen in the body over the course of 2-3 years of consistent exercise that will never happen if you make a dash for the finish line in 2-3 months and call it quits when you reach it, or when you don't.

My great grandpa pumped a kid into some lady and then was locked in a Soviet POW camp for 6 years after fighting in Stalingrad and then killed himself. I sure am jealous of that guy, if only we could go back to the old days.
>>
>>76682343
Cool. Did they let you participate?
>>
>>76682177
That's not even true. Most of our ancestors reproduced asexually.
>>
>>76682434
This is a good one. I'm not a fan of the treadmill but know it's important so if I want to work out just a little I'll do ten minutes or so of that.
You could also do a yoga session of whatever length you please. Yoga With Tim has hundreds of videos up for free that are reasonably serious and strength-focused but not too demanding.
If OP has access to a pool, that might be even better.

Our ancestors literally raped their way to "make it."

My great grandpa kidnapped a 13 year old when he was 17. That was my great grandma.

Rest a couple days and come back stronger than ever. Get good sleep. Even an hour less sleep messes with your lifts.

the way stories were told at family gatherings (both sides) the men have often done well with women. often cheating and having multiple women. meanwhile my heart rate spikes and i freeze up when the pretty lady at work makes eye contact with me
>>
Natural selection does not work that way. This is suvivorship bias. Every living creature's ancestors reproduced, but this does not guarantee anything because for every one that reproduces, there are many that die without reproducing or even making it to reproduction age. This was also the case for humans until the 20th century.

lift less weight for same reps and cycle back up. You need a break, so give yourself a break.
Power to the People has this intentionally as the normal program, and says it's fine to do a cycle-within-a-cycle if you need to.
You're not worried about another guy sniffing at your weights, right?

She wanted to play with dolls. Menarchy was later in those days.
