>>76687278>just do a few heavy dropsets of low cns fatigue inducing liftingStrict shoulders arms and forearms are kind of something you wanna be doing 2-3x on top of bench powerlifting, maybe save some back too since going insane for 1hr is gonna rush you to a 1wk+ cns deload. You can do basically infinite specific work and all it does is allow you to bulk more on rest days and be fresh because of the constant surplus more often.
>>76689232Doms just means you didnt hit those specific fibers in over a week, you can keep lifting and feel sluggish or just continuously lower the rest periods for said technique and work on it till 1wk deload and get it to where its growing. Youre gonna get in a rut anyways so might as well power through it and watch the max weight lower as you get bigger then one day you just rep out your 5rm like a warmup.

If its "unstoppable" urge on rest days, go to the gym.. but just do cardio instead of lift weights, or maybe do some streching + yoga. Then kick it in the sauna and socialize or some shit.

You get more of the benefits of cutting since youre already rebuilding muscle AND have more protein/carbs so youll be at a surplus for like half a day at worst to fuel the workout. So like say i did pressing for the last 4 days, i can work on back/legs/core/arms/delts(maybe wait 1 day usually better to do chest delts rest) on rest days. This is actually high level programming, my shits kinda sick lately.

If you’re struggling on rest days just go to the gym every day. You aren’t training hard enough for it to be a hindrance for you, obviously. Rest days can just be taken when needed. Your body + experience will tell you when it’s time to stop, which is far more convincing than some hard coded program nagging you to rest for a day
