How much weight are you using for decline sit ups? How man sets and reps?

No

can't even use weight yet. skinnyfat dyel rn trying to get back into training. used to always neglect abs when I lifted seriously cuz I fell for the kitchen meme. I usually am doing 3 sets to failure which lands around 10-15 reps. eventually will add weight but im wondering how and where do you hold it so it doesnt turn into some other workout and it actually stresses the core.

Today I 8 repped 150 on the ab machine probably my 4th time using the machine.

Another anon gave me some advice which helped last time i added weight.

Basically sort of lean forward a bit trying to contract the lower abs as much as possible. Keeping my back straight was kitting my lowerback a bit.

Usually build up to 135 lbs.
>>
>>76687719
Damn nigger how many reps of 135? Wat you start out at?
>>
Put the weight behind your head instead of holding it at your front.

I stopped using weight recently because it was hurting my spine. I think this is because my glutes got too big so at the bottom of the rep I'm forced into hyperextension, which I then lift out of which puts a lot of shear stress on my spine.

65 pounds for 8 reps is my best.

so u worked iliopsoas with weighted crunches and u've got nothing to show for it - what and fucking loser, what a tool lol

>still not posting body made with supposedly superior movements
I accept your concession.

>still not posting body made with supposedly superior movements
did i say i have superior movements or abs bot?
i just axed for your iliopsoas that u've supposedly built doing weighted decline crunches, cause it's NOT abs
but if u insist :D
middle of this motion:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/w1kTL74or_I
only legs folded over pelvis (full hip flexion and full knee flexion - folded relaxed and watch it they will want to flex the legs - resist the urge) and u lift pelvis up D:
>and?
and hold, and that's it
i use 2 light dumbbels as counterbalance in straight arms moved past head
>why legs need to be folded over pelvis ?
to give psoas enough slack that it becomes ineffective cause it's in full flexion already and nothing pulls legs away from your torso, u lift pelvis up with just the abs

in Basic I saw tall skinny guys struggle and nearly fail out over situps, which doughy fat guys struggling with everything else could still crank out 100 situps with ease. This exercise just sucks. Try leg raises on a dip bar or while hanging.
>>
>>76691516
I used to do the one in that youtube video but it was too easy so i started doing decline weighted sit ups and im feeling it exactly where i want
>>
>>76691516
Btw it's often hard to understand you because you write like a schizo
>>
45 pounds for amrap, usually 15ish for 3 sets currently

Adding weight past a plate seems tedious and i cba. I'd rather add reps or use an ab machine.
