Only thing that matters is consistency.

Pretty much all splits work. Some are programmed better than others but as long as it's sustainable and there's some sort of progression you can't really go wrong.

If you're a post-puberty natty you're in a progressively worse posistion to even expect growth. It's not so much "being optimal" as it's "less bad"

The problem with brosplits is that they only target each muscle group once a week which is suboptimal for muscle growth
>>
not natty: whatever
natty: pick a split based on how often you workout

as a natty boomer if i worked out 4 days a week i could consider it, else i'll stick to my PPL

Around 6-8 sets is the reasonable limit on growth you can expect from a single session without hurting anything.

If we were going to look at each set having like a % of the potential maximum growth that could occur it would look something like
50%(1set)70%(2)85%(3)90%(4)93%(5)95%(6)97%(7)99%(8)

Most things will work including brosplits but there's no reason to do more work than you can benefit from or even notice. If it works at all that's evidence you could be growing more with less work just split better.

No
It's not "optimal", but realistically you'll make gains on virtually any program so long as you hit the gym regularly and consistently
>>

No matter how hard you train, or how long you are sore, your body is only going to grow muscle for about 2 days after a workout. Which is why training twice a week is better, less days where you’re not growing
>>
Powershitter split or GTFO. Bro split is bad because you aren't training legs / back 3x a week.

You're gonna be sore as fuck, I know because I tried to do this and ended up almost wheelchair bound from leg doms and unable to extend my arms out infront me from chest doms.
