cold symptoms started a week ago, i didn't stop my cut and thought it would just be an extra long cold. now the symptoms are getting worse. should i go back up to maintenance for a few days to help my body fight it off?

Yeah you should generally stop a cut for a week or two if you're getting injuries, sickness, weightloss plateaus, sleeplessness. Anything that indicates your hormones are either shit or are going to be soon means it's a good time for a break.

Also don't try lifting beyond maintence on a cut. Lot of people will do the volume consolidation for lifting while cutting then pr and keep chasing that. Don't. It's a trap.

you don't necessarily need to stop. your body will eventually fight it off
