Is it possible to become military fit, disciplined and live a military inspired lifestyle Without being in the military ?
>>
>>76692950
absolutely, because the military isn't that fit.
>>
The discipline is something you'll never truly replicate unless you come from a military family.
>>
>>76692950
No, the principle thing about military is submitting to an authority so much you'd die for it. There's no lonewolf sigma bs.
>>
>>76692967
Can you explain more?

Is there a way to semi replicate?
>>
>>76692968
You reckon that the submission is essential and not achievable by decision?
>>
>>76692950
all of it is tied in with incentives and authority which you cant replicate, are you going to pay yourself to do the push ups, are you going to enforce fitness tests on yourself.

This. They aren't that fucking "disciplined" either.

The typical "fitness person" in the civilian world is in far better shape then most of the military, as your average military person does the absolute minimum they're forced to do by their leadership to stay in shape. Most "fitness people" do it out of enjoyment for training and high motivation to be fit and healthy.

Units in SOF tend to take their fitness far more seriously then the conventional units, as do airborne infantry and LRS guys, but the only thing different they would do from your typical civilian is forced ruck marches, long range movements over various types of terrain, long range swims, and the typical assaulter shit while hitting and withdrawing from targets.

It's fairly obvious, if you don't get out of bed on time personally, you're not beasted carrying logs around a field for an hour as punishment or at the very least upended out your cot.

This. You don't need much to pass the training. And even when you do, it becomes moreso a culture of begrudgingly doing the minimum. Even then though, many fake it or just don't pass.

>le military discipline
>waking up at 5 am so you can carry logs and rocks
>just to die for zog
