I'm 24, male, 6'1 and 350 pounds. I feel like shit all the time. Always sleepy, no stamina, cant walk up 10 fucking stairs without getting at least a little winded. Not having stamina makes exercise harder, but that's obviously how you gain stamina. I think I just don't know how to ease myself into it, much less stay motivated. What should I do?
doesn't matter what we tell you, you'll just ignore it.
>>76702623It took years to get to where you are now. You cant expect things to take days going the other direction.Start off small. Find a place that you enjoy walking in. Do it about three times a week. Just walk around and listen to music or podcasts. At your weight, even basic movements burn lots of calories. This is by biological design.Cut out as much sugar as you can muster. Ween yourself from it. I know sugar is addictive, but get water when you go out to eat. Focus on getting healthy proteins first. Fill yourself with fibrous veggies like broccoli. Eat a multivitamin.Have a personal goal and dont put it to the moon. Take steps, then every day it gets a little easier. Learn how to reward yourself and you'll start doing behaviors automatically. I give myself a small bar if bitter 85% dark chocolate after a workout. It makes you subconsciously aim for it.Im 6'1 235 lbs. Ive gone from flabby to strong. It took me months, years even.
>>76702638Thank you bro. I have picky eater autism which feels like an obstacle, but it at least left me with not liking soda, so that's probably the only reason I'm not diabetic by now.I live in a kind of rural area with my parents, so I'm blessed with good places to walk nearby, I've been thinking of getting a bike lately as well, I'll probably do that next time I get paid.
>>76702623Go carnivore, only eat meat, eggs, some butter, and occasional organs and drink water. Take walks. You'll lose weight in a year or so. No need to count calories, just eat when you're hungry.
>>76704188This is great advice. It's what our ancestors ate. Rib eye steak lathered in butter was a staple in every hunter-gatherer diet
>>76704213Oh yeah I forgot they actually fried sludge they made out of finely ground cultivated grain in oil they chemically drained from a few pounds of vegetable seeds my bad
>>76702623Train hard, stop wanking, buy a magnesium supplement and take consistently for the net 2 weeks, you will feel much better I promise
>>76702657I'm not doing the carnivore shit but>only eat when you're hungryI always struggled with this. I don't know if there's something physically or mentally wrong with me or what but I can never actually tell when I'm hungry or not.
>>76705157meant for>>76704188
>>76704188>just ruin your health and give your self early stage heart disease bro.

>>76705172Mental illness + no friends or hobbies other than vidya growing up + parents who only bought junk food + every man on one side of my family is a balding diabetic ogre and I'm scared of becoming that which is why I'm here
>>76702623This anon >>76702638 is giving you the best advice. I’m going to generalize his advice just a bit.As you note, it’s hard to do anything at this starting point, because of how bad you feel. So the key is making small changes gradually, getting accustomed to them, and then using the new energy and willpower you get from it to add further changes—and so on. It will be hard, but just remember that eventually these changes that *take* energy from you to do at first will eventually be *giving* you energy. Here is a laundry list. Don’t try to do all of them right away—it’s overwhelming. Pick just one or two to do for a while, until they really become part of your lifestyle. You’ll feel better. Then add one or two more.- Drink nothing but water, green tea, and coffee (black or milk only)- Incorporate exercise into your life, starting very small (walking, simple movements) - Get on a sleep schedule: the same bedtime every day, with 8 hours of sleep- Reduce sugar and (in my opinion) artificial sweeteners- Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables- Eat more lean protein- Cook more, eat takeout and fast food lessBe gradual and incremental. That’s how you make real progress. I believe in you. Awoo.
>>76702623Get a sleep test, you're obese. If you don't want a CPAP, get nose strips or an insert that supports the palate. Fixing your sleep will make fighting cravings or overeating easier. Lack of sleep makes your cravings turbocharge.
>350 poundsIt's not this. Continuing eating as is. Consider taking a rest.
>>76705208Appreciate it bro. Thank you.>>76705236I've never been a good sleeper for most of my life but I'm gonna do my best to commit to this. A lot of the time (when it's not a work day for me) I'll get up at a normal time, make a basic breakfast (I already just eat eggs, toast, and maybe sausage most days), and then just fall back asleep after doomscrolling in bed for a little bit. This gives me a lot of hope if I can actually stick to it.
>>76702623I suggest more self-pity.
>>76705157You'll be able to tell that you're not hungry on carnivore because you'll feel very sated due to high bioavailability of all the nutrients and lack of fiber that inhibits digestion. Eat fat to poop better too.>>76705168Complete nonsense, the "link" between high cholesterol and heart disease has been debunked by numerous studies: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30198808/
There is only one piece of advice for anyone in your situation.Walk.That's it. At your weight you need to start doing 10 minute walks DAILY. It's going to make you exhausted and you are going to sweat hard. But the pounds are going to literally fly off.Don't make any diet changes. Don't do anything else. Don't even think about a gym or doing anything else. Just walk. After you feel confident you can walk more than 10 minutes, start increasing the time.20,000 steps is peak weight-loss fitness because you are gaining a calorie deficit naturally. You could buy a pedometer watch to count your steps, but who cares, just map your route and walk to burn calories.
