Is there a way to endurancemaxxx for the brain?
I get really REALLY tired whenever I do brain training, and I've improved, but I dont seem to be able to recover appropiately so I'm always tired
>>
I heard games like chess and bridge help.
>>
>>76717329
Pomodoro
25 work
5 relax
25 work
5 relax
25 work
30 break
Repeat
In minutes obviously. Endurance with mental stuff is more about structuring your routine in a way that works with how your brain prefers to do things rather than forcing it to do something unnatural.

Chess players do cardio and some of them lift because after a 5h game you get physically tired and then you make mistakes.
>>
>>76717349
I've been thinking about what you said and I think I'm goign to try it out, looking back, the more my self control improved the more I've forced myself to move at an unnatural rythm for my mind.
If I go by what's natural then I wont be doing the pomodoro, but I'm spacing it up a little more now

I also know a great brain pilates routine if you don't want to get a bulky brain
>>
I read a study recently where sleep deprived people took creatine and it helped restore their diminished cognitive abilities. Not looking it up for you but its out there somewhere.

Did brainmaxxing since I was 14, these are methods I tried:
Learning a new skill or a language
Chess, Sudoku, Go
Dual n-back
Corsi
CWMP
Mental Math
Memory Palace
Mnemonic methods
Grapheme-color synesthesia training
Lucid dreaming (WBTB method is easiest, WILD is most consistent but hard)
Self hypnosis
Tulpaforcing (made an egregore during the /mlp/ days)
Talking to your own subconscious (brain splitting neurosurgery for heavy epileptics suggests that there are 2 "you" in your brain, talking to the subconscious makes you more whole, do it during deep relaxation like in shower or on brink of sleep)
Ketosis every 6 months for 3 months (either through fasting or carnivore)
Eating pig/cow brains
Cerebrolysin, Cortexin
Nootropics like piracetam
microdosing LSD or shrooms (shrooms are better)

And honestly, most of them are shit or are just there to twist and flex your brain a bit.
Nootropics are goated, but can't be blasted&cruised cuz tolerance.
Things that work the best is getting sleep and nutrition down to the T and then doing ketosis every year to remove sugars from the brain and letting it chill for a second. And no matter what brain teaser games you do the best will be just learning a new skill or a new language. What's more important that raw brainpower is emotional intelligence that can steer it and keep it on it's path. Most smart people are losers because they see 10 problems down the line before they even solve the first one, so they never go out of their comfort zone.

Get a psychologist or psychotherapist specialized in CBT (make sure he looks like he practices some stoicism or buddhism or some shit like that, those are best)
Also get some magnesium in your body man. 80% of people are deficient in magnesium and it works wonders on relaxation and focus.

You train it exactly the way you are now
As for your progress and recovery stuff, your brain sucks glycogen on a prioritized basis compared to all other body systems while thinking. You can probably extend your sessions by re-upping on some sugar midway through, provided you can spare the calories. You don't have to be an absolute fat ass. Sweet lemonade would do just fine here, it's an issue of sugar. If you're recovering from both lifting and heavy thinking but you experience ongoing fatigue like this, sounds like you need to budget for eating more carbs in general.

anki language learning and spaced repetition for memory
and i think building kits like gluing painting and cutting is good for you, as is doing stuff like bike/car maintenance because it lets you test your models of reality against "does it work or not"? cubing and prestidigitation is probably very good, as would learning songs and rhythms on various music instruments
then i think stuff like climbing or pathfinding while hiking lets you work your hippocampal map of abstract spaces
then i'm afraid for social intelligence and emotional awareness you just gotta get out there and see some people and deal with them over time, but there are tricks for that too like keeping spreadsheets and improving relationships by texting periodically
recognizing thought patterns is a big part of what i think i consider intelligence, like seeing what used to be a doom loop early and snapping out of it by doing what you know will help your mood or relax you a bit

>Getting diabetes from eating a small amount of sweets
That's like saying you'll get kidney failure from one protein shake after a workout. Ridiculous. Replenishing the glycogen for the glial cells in your brain is helpful to heavy thinking but not something that allows you to continuously do that forever. You can do it once per session, MAYBE, depending on how long you need to go.
People underestimate the importance of glial cells while thinking. When they dissected Einstein's brain after he died to figure out why he was so intelligent, the only difference his brain has from normal was having a SHITLOAD of those glial cells in the area of the brain responsible for spacial reasoning.
>But Einstein was wrong!
Sure maybe but it was the best we had at the time and is still used for nuclear chemistry calcs. We blow shit up and run reactors with it.

Don't listen to retards that say carbs fuel the brain. Brain needs ketones and cholesterole to rebuild itself every now and then. Alzheimers and dementia is new type of diabetes. Your brain can't just chug carbs all its life without any downfall. It needs rest and rebuilding, which is ketosis. My brain got a complete cleaning after ketosis. No brain fog, no loss of focus, no memory loss.

better than telling yourself you'll work for 3 hours and just being on 4chan for 2 and a half hours and doing 30min of mediocre work at most if you're kinda retarded
