Did you abandon it completely upon starting to cook for yourself or were only minor adjustments needed?

All those foods are compatible with being /fit/, and equally as not compatible. There's no national cuisine where it's disgusting chicken with ricke and veggies fried together in a pan.

I would say a lot of polish cuisine still functions as if it was meant to feed a farmer coming back home after ten pkus hours of manual labor in the field. If it isn't boiled then it's drowned in a panfull of oil

Breakfast: high sugar slop (milk/coffee, pastry, biscuits). Absolutely terrible due to the insulin spikes, I don't know why this is a thing. I much prefer the northern European savory breakfast with eggs and ham.
Main foods are typically pasta with something, you can imagine the carb bloat. At least there aren't a lot of fried foods, and that's maybe why we're somehow slimmer than most of Europe. In the summer because of the heat we eat "cold dishes" which are usually healthier since there are less carbs.

>Osteria dell'Orsa, Bologna
I've literally been there and ordered that exact thing. It's not the best restaurant in Bologna, but it's well known and the prices are good.

so Irish stew and fondue are equally fit? You've got to be ki-Oh wait, I guess if you're on keto fondue could be pretty good. Yeah, point taken.

holy fukin goulash, stroganoff, wiener schnitzel, fish n' chipz, paella and napoletan pizza..

there was a time when i lived in vegas, i would go to the orleans hotel buffet almost every night (free thx to my gambling addiction), and they served some of the best goulash and stroganoff i've had in the US. i think when the orleans was sold, the crew who made those went over to south coast casino. the good ol' days.

>iconic european dishes
>be euro, never heard of half of these
>meanwhile I can name at least one national dish per country
Mongrelized restauratard inventions aren't "iconic".
also
None of these are /fit/, maybe meatballs if you go with lean meat. National food is always comfort food of peasants and factory workers who needed the greasy calories physically and mentally.

>How compatible is your culture's cuisine with being /fit/?

Well, depends on your goal, I guess.
German here and a lot of food is meat (pork) with somewhat heavy sauce and some form of potatos as a side. Add some cabbage for great farts to that. Pretty good bulking food I would say.
>pic related, what I mostly go for when going to a restaurant (at home I cook more random/fit)

Truly "fit food" is something else, I would say. Easiest "fit" part is probably the breakfast when you go for a basic müsli (basically just oats and maybe some nuts and dried fruit) and add some boild eggs to that as a side. Away from that there is too much bread/sausage/sauces/beer for being a /fit/ cuisine.

>be euro, never heard of half of these

What? How? The only stuff I don't know are the dishes from Portugal and Spain which just seem to be a whole pig and some basic fish and that stew from Irland which just seems to be some... stew.
