Im in my second day of doms. And I have a few questions:1.Is striving to get doms in every lifting session healthy and acceptable 2. during doms should i rest completely or should i still do cardio and sports to further help my muscles3.Are protein shakes okay to have during doms to give muscles more supplements to rebuild?4 im thinking of going out tonight should i go for a burger or steak as my muscles feel really sore after doing boxing yesterday?
>>76724228DOMS subside with good nutrition, stretching and light cardio. When I started working out I got long 5 day DOMS which were pain, and until I learned that my protein intake was low and that I didn't intake enough minerals to replenish then it went to 2 day DOMS. After that I started stretching and doing light cardio to pump the blood to the muscle with DOMS and it would go away within a day. Now after 2 years of training I don't get any DOMS at all which sucks because I always strive to get some feedback whether or not I have worked out strong enough.
>>767242281. you can't progress if that was possible2. get blood flow into the muscles. cardio, lift, anything to get pumped. get nutrients delivered to ur muscles.3. protein is protein. eat or drink surplus.4. eat a steak, eat a burger. go surplus. go wild.

>>76724228>1.Is striving to get doms in every lifting session healthy and acceptableyou stop getting DOMS once you do an exercise for a couple weeks if not sooner.DOMS is only from new stimulus. so no, you can't get DOMS after every session. but if you're just starting out or doing a new excercise then yes, definitely strive for DOMS, otherwise don't worry about it.
>>767243751. you move to a higher weight when ur dom subsides and you feel good going in.3. it doesn't hurt to eat more protein.4. eat whatever the fuck you want. what, are you gonna be a pro?
