What does everyone here dive? I’ll start: two MK25 Evos with S600s, rk3s, Santi drysuit and an apeks bpw
>>76731342>santi drysuit >apeks bpw Get your priorities in order boy, what comp you running, I got a shearwater perdix, also how’s the drysuit treating you, I was thinking of getting a custom made seaskins
>>76731342I have a cressi mask and snorkel I use on holiday if that counts. I did go scuba diving a few times but only with rented equipment.
>>76731362The petrel fisher (the one where you can attach a lp hose), I cant be bothered to attach a transmitter to one of my ports, this is safer. The drysuit is fine, the p valve has been causing me some issues. I hear seaskins is cheap ass shit
>>76731373Seaskins is alright, yeah it’s cheaper but it’s custom made in the UK to your measurements. I’m aware of the fisher, but wouldn’t it make more sense to have the computer be independent in case you need to take off your bcd when shutting down a valve?
>>76731385If you have to take off your bcd to fidget with the valves you’re already in deep shit and need to abort. Also I know a guy and he said seaskins build quality is pretty bad, there’s another brand out of the Uk if you’re interested in that, shark or something like that I don’t remember the name
I like to swim. Yay sharks :)
Perfect kit: Z3, manifolded 12l, two ponies, dual bladder bpw and and rk4s, everything else can be whatever >T. Offshore recovery diver
>>76731403Atomic aquatics are scammers btw
>>76731342>Close female friend invites me to get our diving license togetherI've only done it once or twice. What're the long-term costs? Getting certified was surprisingly cheap if the internet is to be believed, like 300-500 euros. Any other tips?
>>76731342>finally doing PADI courses next summer Any tips for equipment etc?
>>76732078You can get a full set of relatively good equipment for about one grand, although as with most hobbies buy nice or buy twice applies. You mainly want to look out for brands like cressi, they’ve been around since the 1940s and still produce stuff in Genoa. You should go for it, especially because you always dive with a buddy, putting trust in each other can be quite the bonding experience if you wanna bone her eventually. Go for it, diving is awesome and it doesn’t cost too much once you’ve overcome the primary hurdle that is getting your beginner kit. >>76732175Start out with a good mask, then fins, then dive computer. You can get the mares puck for about 250 bucks and it has a buhlmann 16 algorithm, (the same one used on technical dives) after that get regulators, a wetsuit, bcd and finally the small knickknacks like spools, reels, buoys and knives.
