I did not strength train yesterday and probably won't today either, but I did more cardio than I usually do.

>I did not strength train yesterday
I stopped training twice in a row and take rest days between sessions. Based or cringe?

Take another, get even stronger
>>
matter of fact don't train ever, too much fatigue, not enough recovery

I switched from lifting 4x a week to 2x a week while cutting.

Logic being I am sick of lifting so much and not even getting stronger.

Cutting frequency is a good idea on cuts. Decreased recovery ability. Just make sure to keep the weight on the bar the same so that you don't lose too much strength.

So what does the science say? Can you really just goto the gym once a week and still make significant gains?
>>
>>76732526
Its called a deload period. Youre either high in muscle wear/damage/rhabdo itll feel like youre building cortisol as if tendonitis. Or youre very deep into fatigue and are not at a significant enough surplus for most of the day or incorporate too many deficit periods which all but halts protein synthesis.

Plus, getting weaker into a lifting block(any powerlifting program is 6-8wks i prefer 2-4 and a shorter deload or just bttw for a week or 2 at a time if bulking before a cut) is a sign youre actually working your muscles and not doing half assed sessions just to stay strong year round for shit gains.
>>
>>76733369
If you have no free time just do like 2 sets even if tired and stay away from bttw sessions just get your strength up with some dropsets than one hard session.

I did, too, my asshole hurts.

I took 6 months off and lost no strength except in OHP
>>
>>76732219
For best results combine with traditional bodybuilding techniques like muscle confusion. Go to the gym, hype yourself up then leave before you lift.
>>
>>76732219
I took a month off. Lifts didn’t even go down that much except for bench. Started by to think Mikey was onto something.
>>
>>76734273
Yessss only train once a month. It's elite and high iq because mentzer was le BASED (not science based though, fuck science). As long as you scream and lift until your eyes bleed on one set it's better. Matter of fact arnold was too weak mentally to train high intensity!
>>
>>76732219
I have tested this. Optimal resting period is 2 or 3 rest days between full body sessions. 1 is too little 4 is too much.

I've been busy with my classes and haven't worked out in over a month.
I've lost six pounds since. I bought two 20lbs plates to make up for it.
