Thoughts on dumbbell rows?
>>
>>76734452
I prefer seated reverse rows
>>
Best and final way to train trapezoid (mid and lower part).
Inverted rows - can't add too much weight.
Barbell rows - damage your spine, lower ROM.
Pull ups - do not train traps, they train lats and biceps.

This is complex machine whereas dumbbell rows require dumbbell and a bed or couch.
>>
>>76734452
Takes twice as long as cable. Better than barbell.

Motherfucker, I jam the end of a barbell in an old shoe and shove it into a corner and then pop a $30 handle on the other end. I only even bought the handle after using something I made out of wood for a few months.

Complex machine my ass. Your brain is a complex machine, try using that.

Yates bb rows are goat
overload to failure in squat rack with safeties for maximum pump

>bonus
incline bench bb rows
>>
>>76734452
if youre not a pussy just do inverted row progressions until you can do front lever rows. you'll hit your back better than you will with some pussy weights that take for ever to do because you have to do it once for each arm, and you'll also train glutes and core while you're at it (calisthenic chads win again).

Seems like a time waster if you're working primarily with a understocked homegym. Love me that seated cable row. To a lesser extent the chest supported row machine but I feel my ribcage mashing too hard on that.

i do em more like pic rel and love the feeling on my back but I don't really have dumb bells heavy enough right now to go to real failure but man these make me tired as fuck afterwards
>>
>>76734486
Nobody that fucks around with dumbbells in their home is muscular or impressive
>>
>>76734452
why would you do them supported if you're trying to build your back?
>>

Manlets can get jacked with dbs, according to my friend I'm not a manlet
>>
>>76734452
I do them by inclining into my opposite knee of the side i want to work and bending as much as possible without arching my back and they feel better than doing them ona seat or the rack, also allows me to cheat more on the last reps since i can use more momentum
>>
>>76734452
I like them a lot.
I switched to cable rows for time efficiency but otherwise I would do them.

>for time efficiency
Why would this matter when most time in the gym is rest between sets?
>>
I hate doing rows, instead I just do more pullups. I know it's not the same exercise but realistically is it that big a deal?
>>
>>76734452
I prefer dumbbell arguments
>>
>>76734764
I do it this way too because the one in OP looks kinda gay
>>
>>76736239
Yes, it's a big deal. Pull ups train mostly lats and biceps, rows train mostly trapezius (middle and lower), rhomboids and some lats.
You need to do both or you die.

it does, and it is, but the more vertical the more shoulder roll there will be, that's what u shill here bot - pinching scaps and shoulder roll

i still remember biceps fucked for 2 years straight from bent over barbell row bot

>ok hooman so how would u fix barbell row if u are so skilled ?
set barbell at shoulder height
brace with one arm straight in elbow
pull with the other arm also straight in elbow
it's sorta like beginning of bow string pull except u don't move anything so scaps stay in this perfect alignement
isometric hold
