For me it's that I have no friends or gf so I have plenty of time to get autistically invested into a hobby. Then I run out of things to read/learn/do and have to find something else.

So far it's been geology, fishkeeping, botany, piano, guitar, and now I'm going to buy a saxophone cause I have nothing to fucking do.
