Nowadays, everyone puts their entire life on display 24/7 for social media. Back in the day, you only saw the cream of the crop of celebrities in media, and photos of normal people were only for special occasions where they made sure to look their nicest. And because social media has become so pervasive, it has also lead to people freaking out about looks and how standards have skyrocketed, leading to all the looksmaxing stuff in general. So no, I don't think balding has increased whatsoever. I just think it's on people's minds more because our photos are plastered over social media

We associate heavier makeup use (as well as plastic surgery, lip fillers, etc) with middle-aged women because older women use more to cover up. So when a young girl applies it in a similar manner, she ends up looking older as a result. This is no different than when people look back at highschool yearbooks from decades ago and think everyone looks so old, and it's just because we associate how they looked/dressed/styled with old people, because those are young photos of today's old people. Even the most degenerate druggie alcohol party girl is still going not going to show heavy signs of physiological aging. Those bad habits still take some time to catch up with them. To the extend that you think 18yos look older, it's just social expectations based on how they're dressing and doing makeup and getting unnecessary surgeries.
