Alright fitbros help me out, another anon had a thread about this but nothing came out of it. Was doing inline dumbbell press and started to feel a sharp sensation in pic related area. It was like little jolts around that area. Since then I have neck pain when I turn my head 90 degrees to the left or right. To be precise its a little bit to the side of where traps attach to the skull. This got better over the 2 weeks but never disappeared. But more importantly pain as in pic related is on both sides however a bit more dominant on the left. It is close to the spine (the pain) but not at a spine problem. When GF massages anything in this area the same jolt sensation is felt very close. I assume it is a tendon thing but I am unsure if it is a trap thing or something under that. Help me out fitbros, what is the issue? btw yeah its medium pain, just cant lift
Pick up anatomy book and isolate where in the neck you feel the pain, touch every individual external muscle, even if it doesn't hurt, if it's tight, there's your problem.Could also be pinched nerve.
>>76744369kys>>76744360usually do but in this area there are way too many things that cant really be isolated, thats why im asking for experience
>>76744553I'm just guessing, but in least bad cases, it's one of these:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DnCIWRM_l0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9-X9yfv5R8
>>76744555thanks for the help i appreciate it a lot, but its not the first one, the pain is further back, as for the nerv issue ill have to dedicate more time for that one to know for sure
>>76744565if it's the nerve, relief is instant, if it's SCM, you will be doing this for a long time.
>>76744555perhaps i stretched something too much while doing incline, perhaps retracted scapula too much while pushing head forward (to see mirror), I did get the jolt sometimes when i did shrugs after a long workout but never thought of it as anything more then an alarm to stop working out finely.
>>76744573plus i dont even know if the two issues are connected, both occurred at the same time
>>76744212I have pain there sometimes, downward dog yoga position usually helps immediately with the pain, google it also pic related, while pulling up, with one arm try to keep pressure pulling down with the other.
>>76744212You *probably* pulled it, I've done that a dozen times. Only time heals that, take some collagen.Stretching and massage are good in general but don't go too hard if it's injured.
