>was 160kg in september, my max weight>now have lost enough weight my scales actually work and shows a cool 150I can't believe it, the process works
i haven't had an erection in two weeks. does that mean i'm not eating enough?
>>76747722good job big guy. do not stop.

i'm so hungry i can't sleep...starving myself better be worth it /fat/
>>76747708So the question I have is simple, what do you do to curb hunger? I'm just drinking a fuck ton of water. It's making me piss a lot, but it's preventing me from eating, which is good I think.
was going to comment on the old thread but fuck it, since it's here i will post in the new thread. this is some great information. i recently started my weight loss journey after being obese for most of my adult life and my doctor telling me i need to lose weight. just got done with an hour long workout and gonna go for a long ass walk in a minute. is there a discord or something for motivation amongst peers and accountability? or is it just this thread?
my 36" pants is no longer as tight after 3.5kg (7.7lbs)loss. i think i can start wearing it again after 2 more kilos (4.4lbs).

>>76747737going low carb made hunger much easier to tolerate for me. it was suffering on a normal diet.otherwise, i make a huge bowl salad. it's ~200 calories and is very filling.i squeeze 2 lemons to not use any oil.
>>76747752i am aware. just been upping my exercise since my gf is a drama queen and thinks monitoring my calories closely means i'm gonna fucking die in a day. i would up and starve myself if she didn't get so angry at me for it. i don't understand women sometimes. i'm trying to better myself, i'm not a retard.
should i fast for one or two days?
>>76747737Eat high protein. Naturally produces more GLP-1, suppresses Grehlin which is the hormone that makes you feel hungry. Also burns more calories to digest the protein. I was doing 1500 cals a day for 2 weeks and that has naturally dropped to 1200 calories a day because I’m just not finding myself hungry enough for 1500
>>76747754How do I into greek yoghurt? It always tastes off
>>76747771Use it like sour cream. Mix stuff into it like taco seasoning or whatever.

Friendship ended with ovenNow air fryer and slow cooker are best friends
>>76747886based, all i use is my air fryer and stove for meals now. (mainly chicken and rice)
>>76747737I like to save most of my calories for dinner. After work I make a yuge plate of raw veggies, pickles, olives and Greek yogurt with ranch seasoning mixed in. Comes out to about 150 calories depending on the veggies and it takes me a solid 30 mins to eat it all. A nice boost of protein, fiber and micros too- I never get my 5 a day without it.
>>76747737if i'm hungry and don't want to have a meal yet, i have greek yogurt and i'm good for a couple hours. if you're fasting, i don't have an answer besides black coffee or water with a slice of lemon

>>76747771Mix in a decent protein powder and it might just taste like ice cream
>>76747771Not sure on this one. I always buy a tub with good intentions but usually sits in my fridge unopened until expires. Theres just not a good time in my day where I feel like yogurt. I do just take a probiotic pill in the morning with my oats. Perhaps I could use some yogurt in place of some of the milk, but then my million dollar question would be...does heating yogurt kill the good bacteria?
>>76747815>shit's magicWhat's it do?
>>76747771Buy Skyr instead. Same macros but has a more tart flavor that you might like.
Not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but why don't people just eat strawberry yogurt instead of greek? you avoid that whole gross sour taste. the macros arent that far off either if you buy the right stuff.
>>76747958Greek yogurt is supposed to be a base for other things. If you just want to eat it straight out of the container then yeah get it flavored.
>>76747958I used to buy some pretty good strawberry yogurt and add fresh raspberries. Was pretty good. Think it was pretty high fat though, but I wouldnt eat enough for it to be a problem. Very satisfying.
>>76747948very high satiety and very good macros. anecdotally, when i incorporate it into my diet it makes calorie restriction much easier.
>>76747948Very filling, great macros, versatile. Eat 150-200 cals worth and you’ll put a huge dent in your protein goal and be satisfied for a few hours. You can have it classic like with berries/flax seeds, turn it into savory dips, use it as a spread for a Mediterranean wrap, put a big scoop on a spicy bowl of chili, etc etc. Cottage cheese is similar and the flavor is milder (as long as it’s not super salty like TJ’s) but the texture is kind of yucky and needs blending for much more than mixing into scrambled eggs imo. I don’t understand why more brands don’t sell it pre-whipped, just mix in some jam or sugar free pudding mix and it’s reminiscent of cheesecake.
Well that concludes another day. I barely made it and feel like shit.>>76747966I just stuff the chobani yogurt mixed with creatine and chia seeds while gaming.

Is it a bad idea to only do upper body resistance training and bundling leg work and cardio into one day a week?
>>76747761This anon >>76747781 is correct that there are certain processes in the body that only really kick in on day 3 onwards, but 1 day fasts are still great for weight loss. You might not be getting any fasting benefits but it’s still a day with a ~2500 calorie deficit, which is huge.Just do what works for you best, if you can manage 3 days or more, great, if you can only do 1 at a time that’s also fine.Realistically 3 days fasting whether all in one go, or spread out, is still going to be a 7500 calorie deficit, the only difference is having it altogether gives you stuff like autophagy and ketosis

>went from 310 to 170 in the past 15 monthshow do I keep this off? I'm so worried that I'll put it back on from all the stuff I read about fat cells remaining here. I've done really basic lifting (never lifted in my life) the past 15 months, all cardio and diet to lose the weight. I figured when I get down to around 155 I'll really start trying to bulk because maybe increased mass will improve my TDEE and make it harder to become obese again?
>>76748802find a physically demanding hobby you can't do if you gain the weight back. For a lot of people bread is an extra food item with their meal and is almost never needed so it's just extra calories for most people but if, for example, you were making a sandwich then just track properly what you put in the sandwich and the calories the bread has.>>76748822for loose skin hydrate your problematic areas, could start start supplementing 15g collagen daily(it helped overall with my skin elasticity and health in general so it couldn't hurt) and avoid sun exposure while lowering your body fat percentage. The fat you still have on your body just makes the loose skin sag more so the lower bf% will definitely help you, stretched out skin will never properly return to it's form but keeping your skin elastic and healthy will help with some of the skin retraction that can happen but genetics is also involved so it's a lottery in the end.>>76748852he's rich and an actor so he has all the spare time in the world to do nothing but visit the gym and work on himself

I've tried to lose weight most of my life, ive been obese since childhood. I was in these threads before like 7 years ago. Been here off and on. I've participated in fatty contest before. I tried keto. I tried intermittent fasting. Could not lose long term. Why? Because I crave food too much. I got straight As in school and a have a decent paying WFH job but I've never been able to put down the fucking fork or the soft drink. I found a journal I used in high school where I describe it as like a rabid rat banging at the sides of the inside of my brain demanding me to eat. As a lard veteran I highly recommend you look into tirzepatide or retatrutide. Tirz has brand name Mounjaro/Zepbound, Reta is still in clinical trials but you can buy the peptide from various sources and prepare it DIY as long as you research well. Simply put tirz ends my endless cravings for food. It makes me feel more full, and it makes healthier foods taste more palatable to me. See if your insurance is willing to cover it. If for some reason your doctor is unwilling to prescribe it, there are telehealth companies you can sign up to and basically say in a survey "yeah I'm fat and think about food too much" and you will get the prescription. Some insurance plans are covering semaglutide but not tirzepatide. Semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) does work but isn't as effective in clinical trials and anecdotally, causes much worse side effects.Overall these medications are so life changing, it's like seeing what difficulty level people who never got fat have been playing on their whole life. That is genuinely how I believe things work, some people absolutely deal with stronger longer more intense cravings for food available in our modern world than others.

Ultimately it does get easier. If you can go 2 weeks with a proper diet then you can go for years. It’s part of what’s alarming with the autists in these threads who are trying to eat like 800 cal/day, losing their shit about carbs, macrodosing caffeine etc. They’re just making their disordered eating worse. You simply have to learn how to take care of yourself and that does go beyond pure numbers. Full body 2x per week (strong lifts is a decent enough program, I would do only 3x5 instead of 5x5 for sets and reps for you while cutting), 3x only if you want to and are recovered is plenty as a beginner on a cut. Low weights and focus on form first. Assuming you goal is mainly fat loss prioritize cardio, low intensity steady state (a pace where you can still hold a conversation but not comfortably) and generally the more the better. Keep protein high for satiety and to preserve whatever muscle you already have. Keep up the good work.

No bacon, egg, cheese on a roll this morning...Day 1 of an old school no-sugars, no-carbs, only healthy fats diet. 6 small healthy meals/snacks day and a lean and green (6oz meat and salad) at night. Not drinking much alcohol at all, so to quit altogether is no big deal. Back to Sashimi, and NO FOOD AT ALL AFTER 8pm.I’ve been feeling like ass since putting on 40lbs over the last 2 years…Lower back fucked up, can’t bend straight over to tie my sneakers without breathing hard, feels like I’m laying face first on a basketball if I try to get a tan on my fat ass…A high weight of 250 today folks. It will only go down from here.ANYONE CAN DO IT. Takes will power and the desire to feel healthy overriding the desire to eat food that tastes GREAT. I quit smoking and (backmin the day) blow…cold turkey. Just stopped at will.If you follow this plan and get your body into “fat burning mode” (takes about 2 weeks of hardcore diet adjustment) WITH NO CHEATING…and the weight will fall off of you like a terminal AIDS patient.(No offense AIDS patients….)Goal- 210lbs…PS- I cover my fatness up well. Being 6’ 1” helps big time.

>>76747919i had those today. they all came out at once though, it hurt.
>>76749895Sure.You're at a deficit which is going to impact your recovery. Generally the main goal of lifting while cutting is to preserve muscle. You do not need much stimulation to the muscle to preserve it at all as opposed to grow it. Moreover, for fat loss your main focus is on diet first then low intensity long period cardio second. Adding in a high volume workout that keeps you in the gym for a other 2 hrs 4x per week is a recipe for burnout and ultimately failing your main goals. Willpower is a finite resource so use it accordingly. While yes you can get into recomping (cut fat while building muscle) with calorie and macro cycling I don't think the additional complication makes sense for a first time lifter who's goal is mainly fat loss (my assumption maybe I am wrong). Also, if you are a full on beginner I would wager that you gain muscle even with very low volume since your muscles are used to basically zero stimulation. Another point, most studies on muscle growth seem to point to the fact that volume is less important than overall intensity. If you do 2 sets flat the fuck out you will get more stimulation then someone who does 6 sets half assed (most gym goers). Like I said though your focus at first should be on form, then intensity. And intensity takes learning. Learning your limits, like what does each lift to true failure feel like for me? Failure isn't form breaking down, failure is failing the lift. Then you learn what does 1 rep before failure feel like? What about 2 reps? Then you can do your sets with 1 or 2 reps before failure, which is fucking INTENSE. Most people usually have 5 or more reps before failure and will beliefs their set was "intense" (it wasn't). So that's its own skill that comes with experience and discipline.

72 more days. 15 more pounds.W-We can do it bros. I feel so tired and hungry all the time, but we're there.
I've always been a huge condiment user, ever since I was a kid I used to drown my food in catsup, bbq, ranch, sweet and sour you name it. I was told they were basically little to meaningless calories and thought nothing of it. Fast forward 30 years and I'm learning a few spoonfuls of ranch or bbq have as many calories as a burger patty. It's outrageous, honestly I bet 20% of all my accumulated weight over the years comes from condiments. I'm trying to find better alternatives, using lots of seasonings and even trying some foods without any condiments at all. It's been hit or miss but I really missed ranch in particular. I've been experimenting and here is my latest attempt. First I found some low calorie store bought ranches, some tasted like shit, others were ok but they were all loaded with random shit I'd rather not be eating and still had a good amount of calories. But the other day I saw someone talking about ranch packets, I had forgotten these things existed, 0 calories just the flavor. The previous store bought ranch alternative I tried had a yogurt base but with oils and other things as well. So I thought what if I combine a ranch packet with some yogurt and see what happens. Mixed one packet with 2 cups of greek yogurt and about 3/4 cup cold water to get the consistency closer to the real thing. It's in the fridge now to set up and let the flavors meld. But tasting the fork I mixed it with was promising. It's super tangy though, not sure if greek yogurt was the best idea. Going to try normal yogurt next time and see but I think this might work. If it does it would be a life saver. So many less calories and also the ones that are there are more nutritious. I'll post results after I use it making some gyros.

>>76749539>It’s part of what’s alarming with the autists in these threads who are trying to eat like 800 cal/day, losing their shit about carbs, macrodosing caffeine etc. They’re just making their disordered eating worse.Necessary part of the process for most and as it helps them learn while trying to speedrun. The problem comes when it is time to slow down and actually live like you describe. Like >>76750293>>76750257I kind of fucked up the bulk by dirtying it a bit too much without working out (life got in the way) so trying to get back down to around 13% bf, this is like 15-16% bf. >>76750287alot of fasting and staying in a calorie deficit on my re-feed days. also walking at least an hour a day.when i re-feed i normally just have chicken and rice (1400 cals) so even on the re-feed days i will still be losing weight.
>>76750293the more we fail the more we learn so it gets easier for us to stay on track and keep it off eventually.
>>76750319>The problem comes when it is time to slow down and actually live like you describe100%, this is the most important part. You have to teach yourself how to maintain healthy habits that are sustainable for the rest of your life. I'd rather take 5 years to reach a goal that I can keep for my whole life than to spend 5 months speedrunning something that I'll lose again a year or two later.

The final product, overall I'm on the right track but not quite there. The ratio was off, I used too much yogurt couldn't taste the ranch very well. The consistancy was perfect though, I'll cut the yogurt by about 30% next time and also try normal instead of greek and see what difference it makes. Extremely fatty 30 bmi question: how do you work out when all that fat is moving around and hurts after a while? Like I'd jog on the spot and my stomach would go up and down and eventually hurt, so I'd stop. Currently doing 1 hr elliptical everyday. I hate this shit so much, would a compression garment work? Are there exercise routines for actual fatties that take into account the fat physics and not just for tight gymbros?
>>76750672Walk until you get down to about 25-26 bmi and it'll be much more comfortable to jog.
>>76750672track steps start with 10k move up with increments of 1k whenever you get comfortable with the current number. cut down from 30 to 26-27 before i started other forms of cardio comfortably.
>>76750672Dont jog or run to lose weight when you are overweight. Try walking or swimming instead, its better longterm for you and your knees.
>>76750672The first thing to consider is that diet is MUCH more important than exercise for weight loss. You can't outrun a bad diet, and I say that as someone who will go out and jog 20km before work. Exercise makes you hungry, which without proper discipline will make you gain weight. Exercise is obviously good, but try to treat it as a separate goal to your weight loss with different progress metrics. For strength, you're actually going to be a lot better than the average beginner, because your extra fat probably also comes with some extra muscle. Something like Stronglifts 5x5 is a good starting point. For cardio, you don't need to run. Even walking is a great exercise for beginners, and it's really functional in how it directly improves your daily life. Whether you're walking inside or outside, try to build up your speed and/or distance over time.Treadmills and ellipticals are good because you can measure and fine-tune your progress. Having a smartwatch helps too, because you can choose a heart rate and then set a speed and incline which lets you maintain that. They also gamify it a lot, which makes it fun to track your progress.Another thing that can make it fun is getting out with local events. Check if you have a Parkrun near you. It's a weekly 5km walk where they measure your time, so you can try to improve each time you go. It feels a bit like a race, so you can have some friendly competition with the other people around your level too.

900 calories per day is the golden zone for weight loss. >>76750982>>To build healthy habitsstop shoving your face with fucking pizza, not hard nigger this isn't some herculean task>muh habits!!!!put down the fucking corn dogs and eat some sausage instead>>To retain my muscle massyou lose muscle mass during prolonged periods of low caloric intake regardless of your diet, even on a moderate cut (500cals less a day) you will still lose muscle. Unless you're a complete newbie bodybuilder, in which case you will gain muscle as soon as you hit a gym no matter what, even in extreme deficits>>To not wreck my hormonesbut you're already a faggot with a wrecked ass>>To have enough energy for a happy lifeyou can be happy when you stop being a fat piece of shit
>lose 200 lbs>lose all my hairYeah this is great I don't mind this I'm fine
>>76751003uh try the Chinese remedy of dirt on the scalp or whatever? its all i know for hair growth.
>>76751001peak ngmi energy lol
>>76751001Grumpypants over here lmao go eat a string cheese or something, you’ll feel better
>>76750962You're not wrong. This is my routine: >>76750748But ngl, it would be bleak without the caffeine/energy drinks. If someone is opposed to stimulant abuse I can see why they would want to do a slower deficit.
>>76748875Explain these long fasts to me pls. Why not just exercise and eat healthy.
>>76750965to be fair I'm a month into strict keto and I've only had one blowout diarrhea shit, the rest have been normal
>>76751010Fin and minGiving it a year to see how it goes before cueballing
>>76750405Would baby powder help do you think?
>>76751027NTA but I am over here looking at /ck/
>>76751034Fasting is objectively, scientifically better for hunger levels and sustainability. The reason most fat people inevitably relapse/regain the weigth back is because they do the normie CICO/3 meals a day thing instead of fasting. Keto probably works too but you might as well kill yourself if you're going to live without carbs.
>>76750340anecdotally people say its helpsthe autophagy from fasting should help but I don't think it's been proven yetthis guys videos about it fasting and loose skin are greathttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhS_-i8N7vY
>>76751045the reason why people relapse is because they dont even understand cico, most people are sold retarded 'rewards' schemes like weightwatchers, or slimming world, or some other group like that, the general population thinks if you want to lose weight you should go to the gym and go on a treadmill for an hour
Doesn't fasting cause GH spikes which means you don't really lose lean mass
>>76751064yeah that's why i prefer fasting.
>>76750962>>76750978what this guy says. i make sure to eat 1200 at a minimum, and allow myself to go up to 1700 if necessary. most days are 1400-1600 and i feel zero discomfort while losing weight.
>>76751060yeah 100%. if done properly CICO is foolproof. problem is most people don't do it properly. I can see why fasting works for some people because its literally impossible to fuck up (as long as you stick to it).
>>76751034You burn fat fast when you force your body to switch to fat as fuel for your brain (ketones) when you starve yourself 30+ hours. The glycogen that lives in your liver and muscles is depleted and your body has no choice but to burn fat to stay alive. Not only that but once you cross into the 48+ range your body starts to exterminate damaged and potentially cancerous cells in your body since it isn't preoccupied digesting food. There are also waves of pleasant adderal-type highs that give you naturally heightened mental clarity and focus.
>>76751034just burns fat faster, and for some people its more comfortable since some get less hunger, or no hunger in my case from doing it.also i still exercise and try to eat at calorie deficit. i lose about a pound a day.
>>76751202>>76751202>>76751202
>>76750931Nice one. Consistency is the first step to conquering the scales. I need to take a leaf out of your book. Im trying to volume eat, but also low cals, Im trying to maintain some sort of normal digestion but every day its a different challenge for my colon.
>>76751039Yes very much so
>>76750214There is an amino acid present in potatoes that actually specifically triggers satiety. It's so effective at this that it ranks as the number one most satiating food when tested amongst people, even against high protein foods. There's even weight loss products that use potato extracts of this amino acid for its appetite-suppressing effect.
>>76751001everything he said was right. you are piling on stress hormones, nuking your metabolic function and condemning yourself to eventual failure being a sub 1000 cal a day retard. What happens when you lose the weight? You magically discover balanced healthy eating? I would bet any you use the 900 cal excuse to eat shit food too.
