Is becoming plant based the solution? Lots of meats are really fucking disgusting when you think about it.

What diet do you think would make you live the longest I was thinking of becoming a vegetarian. Would this improve my health?

I'm trying to super charge my health.
>>
Raw meat gives you a realistic shot at 150
>>
>>76750591
I've never seen anyone eating raw meat or meat only diet live over 50
>>
>>76750581
It's genetics and staying active. My great grandpa lived to 103 and drank whiskey and ate steak every day. Great grandma from a different part of the family made it to 104 doing the same thing. They walked a lot up until the end. My grandparents were pretty sedentary and only one has made it past 90 although the grandma that did lives pretty much on sweets and tv dinners
>>
>>76750618
How much walking did they do, do you think?
>>
>>76750581
v3gan gains made me want to go plant-based

i say plant-based and not vegan because i don't give a fuck about animals
>>
>>76750618
>it's genetic
people who believe this end up dying in their 60s

most cancers and diseases related to age are due to lifestyle and not genetics.
>>
>>76750767
>>
>it's genetic

it's mostly subhuman fat fucks who say this. they use as an excuse not to get fit
>>
>>76750781
they use it as an excuse not to get fit*

the longest i have seen a carnivore live to was 80

>I was thinking of becoming a vegetarian.
Do what you think is best.
>Would this improve my health?
No. If you're too stupid to be able to eat a balanced diet now, then you're just going to make it that much harder by trying to do it with only vegetarian options.
>>
Ok, hear me out here, chuds.
Raw ostrovegan with mussels farmed under controlled conditions to avoid contamination.
You literally can't propose a single thing that's wrong with this diet. Try it, thank me when you're 130 and still don't feel a day over 70.
>>
>>76750581
When planning diets you should really focus on increasing the good while minimizing the bad. Vegetarian diets are good because they are high in fiber and veggies in general are associated with decreased disease and longer lifespan when controlled for confounders. The bad parts about meat are mostly saturated fat, so you can still get the benefits of meat if you just minimize the saturated fat intake. Lean chicken breast and fish are likely your best option. There is a reason the Mediterranean diet is constantly referred to as the best diet for longevity as it combines those two things.

I'm vegan personally for ethical reasons, but I think the best case for health is lean animal protein and a very high veggie diet. Once lab grown meat is more mainstream I will likely incorporate chicken breast and fish into my diet.

>>
>>76750618
It's all genetics. Just having someone in your close family from the same parents increase your odds by crazy numbers of living to get 100+ if they do too. My grandpa's mom lived to be 98, and her sister is going on 95.
>>
>>76750581
you should ask a better question
>>
>>76750581
100 years old or 100 lbs?
100 lbs, just stop eating lol.
100 years old, stop eating plastic, and engage in regular exercise, but not to exhaustion.
>>
>>76751389
what is this gibberish? Cancer is already cured btw. Any "new" findings from mainstream medicine are 99% bunk and the real new. discoveries are usually hidden in the papers/wrongly interpreted by the summaries

I don't think lean meats alone is what gives you good health like lean beef mince for example is probably still full of parasites.

I think eating chicken is cleanest food if you was to eat meats the rest are full of parasites. So is chicken I guess

Anyoner who wants to live to 100 doesnt realise that by the end of your life you are shitting and pissing yourself, unable to comprehend reality, your kids are waiting for you to die because youre a burden to them, and all you do is sit in a room depressed staring at the wall struggling to understand fox news thats too quiet playing in the background but you keep it on because its too lonely to sit in silence, everything hurts and youre probably 1 fall away from dying
>>

retarded post
aging is a disease, you simply treat it
boomers age because they think it's natural
>>
>>76752396
Its a terminal disease
statistics suggest you are likely to get dementia before you hit your 90s
good luck shitting in them diapers

>Dead by 30 stack?
It's a fairly good stack for progeria patients, but I'd add on farnesyltransferase inhibitors given recent clinical trial results. I'm 30+ without progeria though, kek.

>>76752399
Chamomile and ginseng along with intermittent vanadium have some pretty good preclinical prophylaxis data; I'm on all of them.
>>
>>76750581
>is doing this diet the best solution for best health?
No. I have friends who do different diets. One does keto, other is vegan, another is pescatarian, etc. They range from fat to super skinny, none of them are actually "healthy". They don't look fit, aren't strong, and have cardio like the average person who doesn't exercise.
The best thing you can do is to just lift/exercise and change your diet to meet fitness goals. Thinking your diet is the main driver rather than using it as fuel is the common mistake everyone makes.
>>
>>76752417
Your probably pissing out 90% of those vitamins though
>>
>>76752428
Diet is a main driver though? Most body builders die young as fuck even ones not on gear due to kidney problems and cholesterol from shitty meat diets
>>
>>76752451
Vitamins in particular do get pissed out a lot, but they still do stuff before then. Going way over the RDA of vitamin C increases athletic performance until about 1g per day, for example.
>>
>>76752454
>Most body builders die young due to cholesterol

Vegan + Vegetarian

based and Bersteinpilled. Meat based low carb diets stay winning
>>
>>76750581
Low cal like 2k cal max, high glycine to methionine ratio, fish and maybe some eggs /kefir, 75-80% whole plant food, vet vo2 high, that's your best bet.

Less calories is less aging, high glycine low methionine linked to 30% increased lifespan in rats, 80% plant based is how centurians eat also gives higher glycine diet.

>My great grandpa lived to 103 and drank whiskey and ate steak every day.
and he would have probably lived to 113 if he limited his alcohol consumption
>>
>>76750618
My grandpa was an alcoholic since he was 20 and used to drink at least a bottle of rum a day. His diet consisted mostly of bread, cheese and smoked meats. He made it to 87.
My dad is 67, he doesn't drink or smoke and he's incredibly healthy. He still works out and benches around 80kg and he regularly goes on 90km mountain bike rides
>>
>>76750758
He's literally on testosterone and HGH and admitted to it. He's been on it longer than he admits. He just upped the doses recently. The average vegan is going to look like a skeleton with poor sexual and cognitive function without PEDs.
>>
>>76750857
ALA has dogshit bioavailability especially at that middling dose, switch to EPA & DHA and double the dosage on each. I seriously hope you aren't taking MB every day

it's a combination of lifestyle(including diet) and genetics.
a poor diet can make someone with good genetics die early
