I think it depends on the model, but nike has shifted towards pleasing zoomers and gen alphas with colorful 100% plastic bullshit shoes. Adidas is plastic too, but its designed to let your feet breathe (kek) better, so they are way more confortable and you dont get that nasty feeling of your feet being in a fucking sauna. The more classic and cheap nike shoes are based if you are poor tho, i had a pair of those to go to the gym and they were comfy (and they had this weird mesh design so you didnt have the hot temperature problems). My go to for everyday shoes is mostly adidas, they look decent for my modern boomer look and they are way better quality than nike, also cheaper, i always get them in some sale because zoomers always go for the expensive trendy nike models. I have the adidas version of OPs pic on the left, they are the most comfy shoes ive gotten in a long time. I also had a similar version of left, but in grey, they were ok but too flat for me, i still have them. I got right for 20 euros on a sale at decathlon and left on a local sports store for 35, the equivalent nike model was like 60 euros and it was fully enclosed plastic design, while the adidas was like this hard synthetic kind of fabric. I fucking hate that vans and DC turned to shit in designs and quality, its really hard to get skater style shoes with good quality nowadays. These adidas are the best ive gotten in like 15 years. I get a lot of comments on them too, so i guess they look good indeed

Try keens. I've got a wide ass foot and those were the comfiest shoes I've found. Shockingly, Adidas sambas fit my feet very well too
