Voice. You're either born with a strong and loud voice (thick vocal cords) or you're not. People with strong vocal cords are naturally louder and more dominant in social settings. Guys with thin vocal cords have to struggle their whole lives to appear masculine, regardless of their physical appearance. That's why a lot of top-level combat athletes (Tyson, McGregor, etc.) have trained so hard to cultivate combat skills, and why so many bodybuilders (Coleman, Bumstead, etc.) have disarmingly soft voices. In the civilized world, most of us are not fighting for dominance, but we are talking to each other on a daily basis, and your voice matters.

>>76757763I think this is somewhat determined by genetics. i have been in a jazz choir as bass for years as a teen and then for a few years in the army, where i had to use my voice a lot and loud too. i had a job as a public speaker for a while and i can fill a room with my voice but here is the thing. It is not my default. i have a deep voice but unless i force it its not loud or has that presence that op talks about.
I have a pretty deep voice for my age and made other guys insecure due to it.Because they would be the ones with higher pitch voices yet try and overcompensate by acting macho tough. Those same people also think LOUDER = My point is proven. And I am just a thin guy
