Though more meals sounds better for both bulking and cutting from a practical standpoint, as:
1) for bulking, you distribute the calories throughout the day and don't have to eat huge, overly sating portions
2) for cutting, eating more smaller meals means you won't feel as hungry, and if you're a "snacker" that eats out of habit or boredom, you'll probably be less inclined to eat nonsense between your regular meals

This, they both will work, personal preference is the most important factor. Your pros for more meals are good, I think some pros for less meals/fasting are:
>for cutting
you can eat with a lot less restrictions in one sitting once you finally hit the feed window, which can be psychologically satisfying
>in general
it's probably a good thing to give your digestive system a break and train your willpower, also it saves time

I did intermittent fasting daily for a long stretch, now I just do it once a week and eat more frequent meals on normal days.
