The trap bar deadlift is a strictly better variant of the conventional barbell deadlift:>Center of gravity aligned with feet placement.>The bar can't roll out of your hands.>The bar doesn't scrape your shins and knees.>The bar doesn't awkwardly bump on your dick and balls. Why aren't trap bars more popular ?
>>76763632>>The bar doesn't awkwardly bump on your dick and balls.I thought I was the only one this happened to
>>76763632>>The bar doesn't scrape your shins and knees.>>The bar doesn't awkwardly bump on your dick and balls.Imagine not only being a manlet but also having short hands lol
>>76763632I thought these were for traps this whole time
you can use a normal barbell for more than one exercise
>>76763641I specifically adjust (tuck) on the set up so my junk is behind my thighs.Basically if you just set up correctly none of this is a problem. Wear sweatpants on DL days.
>>76763661same for the trap bar, it's godlike for power shrugs and farmers walk
>>76763632why not use both?
>>76763632>Bar doesn't scrape your dick and ballsThis wouldn't happen if you weren't an armlet in the first place.
>>76763632It's deadlifting for Grandpa
>>76763661he doesn't know how to do:>trap bar curls>trap bar pullover>trap bar snatch>trap bar single leg rdl>trap bar toss>trap bar russian twists>trap bar hip thrustngmi
>>76763641>I thought I was the only one this happened toMost people here have tiny shriveled steroid nuts so it isn’t a problem for them
>>76763846I don't see any reason to use both. He's right that one is better than the other. He just got it wrong, the regular barbell is better and there's no point to the trap bar. None of those "benefits" he listed matter for anything, whereas the fact that you can't control your grip precisely or balance it against your body does matter.
>>76764203Holy cope
>>76763632No the fuck it's not. The great thing about conventional deadlifts is that they force you to figure out how to stabilize the load while it's forward of your center of gravity, which in turn means they force you to use your spinal erectors and lower back muscles and really figure out how to hip hinge with power. A trap bar deadlift lets you get away with doing a whole lot less of that and a whole lot more squatty quad pushing even if it's still a hip hinging movement overall. None of your "benefits" mean anything, to boot (and while I've never heard anyone complain about having a barbell roll out of their hands except due to their own grip strength, I have heard of plenty of people having a trap bar tip forwards or backwards because their hands were placed just slightly in the wrong spot). This, of course, filters retards who never actually think about how they're using their own bodies while lifting, and they turn around and cry about how they got injured from deadlifting and barbells are evil and all this glassback nonsense that has infected gyms everywhere. It's pathetic.
>>76763632No not true, normal deadlift with normal bar moggs. Cope and seeth.
>>76763632>glares at you
>>76763632why do Indians love trap bar deadlift?
