Yes you can, but you will be stronger when you're fat.
That being said, since it all about looks anyway, numbers don't matter.

Can someone explain to me why the fuck i was stronger at squatting when i was leaner and lighter? It doesn't make sense. 5 reps difference at the same weight.

Bench was poverty when i was lean tho

You will always be stronger with extra padding an the calories to sustain it. Because of better leverages (moreso on the upper lifts), mass moving mass and the extra fuel.
That being said, the stronger you are before a cut, the stronger you'll be after it.
