'sup /fit/, /k/ here.

TL;DR I'm in one of those Scandinavian Home Guard units. Basically we have to perform soldier shit without being full-time inna military. This means pretty much all physical training has to be done on our own.

I spent yesterday on a field exercise running around in piss rain with one of these fucks on (plus the rest of my kit) and had to call quits a couple of hours before we finished since my back was completely shot. Specifically, my upper back muscles were dead to the point where I couldn't keep myself upright. I laid on a hard floor for 1.5 hours in order to be able to even stand afterwards, and today I can barely manage to shitpost.

Yes, I had both level IV plates in, and side plates.. Train as you fight.

What do I work out in order to not be a fucking pussy with one of these on?

What are your thoughts on black people?

I try not to think about them.

Deadlift, face pulls, reverse fly, rows. Just deadlift would probably do it.

I'm not asking to make my back big.

You're asking, and if you know the answer I don't know why.

No, just do walks or runs with your shit, whatever you want to train

Roll it. Focus on it, breathe and sink into it.

The issue shows up after 8+ hours of in-the-field exercise. Running up and down hills, crawling in mud, marching between stations, that sort of shit. Will regular walks and runs help even a little bit with that?

If you scale up the weight, it might. Try to go heavier than your field exercise and see, how much it actually fucks you up. If it doesn't do anything, you will know

Also a scandi Home Guard soldier. Part of an RRF-company with a surprising amount of fat cunts. We've started bullying the lardasses in our platoon into losing weight. What i've seen in the Home Guard in general are a lot of unfit people struggling to use their gear.

First adjust your gear properly, wrong use can cause unnecessary strain. Start lifting weights, i do an upper lower split and it works well for me. Start doing a combat sport, get your body used to moving in ways that it usually does not. Most importantly start rucking, do weighted pull ups and ab wheel rollouts. At least once a week.

Right now i do 4x4 intervals with a 20kg pack once a week and 2ish hours of ruck marching with 25-30kg once a week. Great cardio, shrinks your tits, gets you used to moving with heavy gear. You don't have to be super autistic about it and use your plate carrier and helmet. Pack your ruck after unit SOP, put your plate carrier in it as well and just start walking 50/10. It's super simple. Whenever you feel like it's tough, remember how gay you look complaining and keep going.

Also use this, you don't have to do all of it but it's a good guideline

Did you jump straight in to full weight and full duration? That's a recipe for injury and misery. Build up to it and let your body adapt. The first time I did a run carrying a simulated mountain load (spare warm clothes, waterproofs, water, food, survival kit), it was awful, even though it was just an hour. A couple of months and more longer practice runs later, I did 4 hours going up a mountain carrying even more and didn't even notice the pack.

Also what the other Scandinon said about adjusting the pack. Figuring out how the straps actually worked and eliminating the annoying bounce made a huge difference.

Do high volume squats, I want that cute scandibussy to be jiggly and shit when we come in.

Great minds think alike, but OP needs to stretch hard afterwards because it stiffens your calves and legs pretty hard

I'm one of the few fatties that has all the muscle but need to melt the rest
